Barretos Mexican Food in Fontana is THAT spot
They’ve been in business for 18 years, and once you go, you understand why. It was busy when we visited — locals definitely love this place ✨
The tortillas? Freshly homemade, soft, hot, and straight off the comal You can literally taste the difference.
We tried the cucumber with lemon agua fresca and it was so refreshing Perfect balance and so good with the food. Of course, I had to get a michelada to pair with my fajitas ️ That combo? Elite. The fajitas were flavorful, sizzling, and cooked perfectly
They have so many options to choose from, especially on the weekends, so you really can’t go wrong with any dish
And dessert? 10/10 We ordered stuffed churros, flan, and buñuelo chips — all sweet, crispy, and so yummy ✨

So so good. Upon arriving we were seated immediately, they came to bring us chips and salsa and some pico de gallo. So bomb! We ordered the fish plate, steak and eggs and a child’s taco plate. Really delicious!! We also ordered flour tortillas and tortillas hechas a mano. Will be coming back!

Wanted some authentic mexican food so had to come back to Casa Barreto. Had the pozole, I was the best I’ve had in a very long time hot, full of flavor! They also gave me a chile sauce on the side to make it spicy. Bomb!!!! Not to mention homemade corn tortillas, Bomb!!!! Had there shrimp ceviche too. Bomb!!! Had other things to many to mention all but nothing that was not great!!!

Do not get the fish tacos they are nasty! It’s deep fried fish fingers they buy already made just refried in oil they only put lettuce and shredded cheddar cheese with no tartar sauce and No tomatoes nor salsa. They are really nasty don’t waste $10 for one!!!!

Actually I’m gonna give this spot another visit. The food was pretty good and the waitress was attentive and very nice. There was no one in the restaurant and I’d like to go back on the weekend and check out the vibes. Drinks were great!

Very nice and clean. Small neighborhood Mexican restaurant on Sierra avenue in Fontana. The staff is very informative and knows what they’re doing and they do it well. They served chips with salsa and pico de gallo before our ordering.
I had three taquitos with rice and beans at lunch for $10.99. very filling and delicious and a reasonable price for lunch. My friend had a Ranchero Burrito for the same price. In fact all their lunch menu items are $10.99. they have special dinner pricing as well for the same price. Stop in and say hi and have a delicious meal. The actual parking lot is only for a few cars but there is a city lot behind the building that has plenty of parking and a Citibank bank next door.
