Casa Azul is a Mexican restaurant in Buffalo, NY. The drinks and the food are above expectations. They had vegan, gluten-free options on almost all their menu items. The only downside is the wait time, as the place is popular. We had a variety of flavoured Margaritas which were highly potent. We also ordered Guacamole with corn chips which were so delicious that we ordered another. After that, it was a round of tacos and enchiladas. All worth it. We finished every bit of food even though we were full. Great place for a meal with friends and family.

What an amazing night out with friends!!! Particularly of note was the chocolate mousse which might be one of the best desserts I have ever had in Buffalo. Their nonalcoholic frescas were SUPER tasty and perfect for my way too pregnant friend- the peach basil was a win. The shrimp taco and guacamole were also incredible and I wish they would serve the brussel sprouts as an appetizer because they were good on a taco but I think they would have been incredible on their own! (Sorry you won’t get a picture of the mousse because I ate it with great vigor and attention, but the churros were also a top notch end to our meal!)

I had the AL Pastor Torta ($10$) that I had for dinner was delicious, well-made, and quite flavorful with or without any hot sauce added to it.

The restaurant is nice. They have nice ivy plants growing on the walls. Nice big glass windows. We ordered several different street tacos. The chicken taco was okay. The shrimp taco was the worst of the three( it’s not necessarily bad). The Brussels sprout taco was the best of the three I had. Definitely try it if you like Brussels. We ordered an appetizer of the queso , and that stuff was weird it was just melted cheese. It’s like the stuff. If you don’t chew, you’ll choke on it. Again, it was not necessarily bad either. It was just different. If I was in the area, I would come here again but wouldn’t make any special trips to go there.

Great cocktails, great menu, not too many items so you know the ones they offer should be outstanding and they were.

Love! The food is deliciously authentic. I took my son here for his 22nd birthday celebration and we were both over the moon. Fresh ingredients that are well-executed. The flavour profiles are on point.

I have mixed feelings. My 1st visit last week: prompt service, waiter came check on us. Food and drinks good. 2nd visit: no prompt service, waiter did not check on us. Food ok like last time (tacos) but my drink was literally glass full of ice! There were so many ice cubs that when I took a sip, ice cubes were touching my nose not mentioning there was a small amount of cocktail for $12. That was a big turn off. I felt like this was cheating.

Holy mole! This place is good. Had taquitos, chips and salsa, and guacamole to start. All excellent. Paired it with a pineapple negroni, and then the house margarita. The mole is the best I’ve ever had, anywhere. Don’t forget to order the churros for dessert. Staff was amazing.

We had a lovely dining experience at Casa Azul. Jessica provided great service and knew the menu well. The hostess also worked hard to get us a table not in the Sun (thank you)!
