Lamar was our first stopping point for us as we headed to southwest AZ. After a bit of exploring we spotted Casa Azteca and thought it looked promising. A hostess seated us right away, and our waiter was there very quickly. The menu is really big. But for me, I’ll order rellenos every time if they have them. They use Anaheim peppers. They were the most tender chilis I’ve ever had. Authentic batter was also used. I would rate these rellenos among the best. Les had a chicken, mushroom and spinach dish that had her humming. Service was great. Our food arrived very quickly. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. It’s not likely that Lamar will be on our future routes, but if it is, we will definitely eat here again.

I absolutely love this place! It’s a gem I didn’t know existed until recently, amd now it’s our new favorite place. The food is incredible so far (the fajita quest Dillard blew my mind), they’re salsa with the chips is fantastic, and the service is phenomenal. Jasmine, you rock! We will be back probably a couple times a week.

Ole’! This place is definitely on point! Very bright, welcoming and authentic decor brings you into a large seating area that is not too loud with ample seating space where you don’t bump elbows. Grande serving sizes, glad we shared the entree. The Fajitas Jalisco were delicious and we have mucho leftovers! Started with bean dip and salsa with flour tortilla chips, finished off with delicious fried ice cream. We are rolling ourselves out of here and we’re not disappointed! Will return the next time we’re in town!

A beautiful atmosphere. Extremely clean. Food was very good and a generous portion. (I could only eat half). Large dining area and a great bar.

Passing through Lamar at lunchtime and needed something because we were starving. we chose Casa Azteca and it was a great choice! The restaurant was clean, well decorated and spacious. They have a FULL bar and definitely something for everyone! Service was fast and everyone was friendly!
The food: so the chips and salsa were amazing. Salsa comes in a cute little bottle and there was plenty to go around. Chips were warm and perfectly crisp! The horchata was fantastic, had a bit of a coconut flavor to it which was really unique and amazing.
I ordered a beef taco, burrito lunch special. Portions were huge! The ground beef was flavorful and not dry. I really liked the rice as well! My son ordered the birria tacos and wow, they were packed with meat! Overall wonderful visit. Huge portions reasonably priced!

Enthusiastic 5 stars! For a place that we basically picked at random, we hit the jackpot. First off, the place is really nice inside, with beautiful wood tables and every seat cover looking brand-new. Then they bring you chips and salsa in a nice size bottle; for once in our lives, we didn’t have to ask for more. The chips were good, and the salsa was even better. My wife and I loved our meals. The owners should teach classes on how to run a restaurant. Flawless visit!

YUM! YUM!! YUM!!!
Driving from Kansas to Denver, called ahead about 20 minutes out, not fully certain about what we would end up with since we’d never been here.
WOW!!!
The Pollo Feliz was absolutely amazing!!!
We ordered to go, and it was ready when we arrived. The chicken and shrimp in a cheesy sauce was in one container and enough beans and rice to feed an army was in another!!
The flavors were all delicious!! The shrimp was grilled to perfection as stated in the menu with that incredible charred yum!!
For a very particular TexMex girl, I was more than impressed, I was blessed!

The place is enormous! The atmosphere is so clean and well decorated. The staff was attentive and nice. We went on a Friday night of opening week and it was packed. It only continued to get more packed as the night went on. The food came out nice and hot. Portion size was well shareable and delicious. They only served beer since the liquor truck did not show up yet but they do have a full bar and a couple TVs throughout the place. I’m looking forward to going back to try other platters. There are SO MANY to choose from. I also hope it stays in town and clean and for years to come!

The Casa Azteca Restaurant in Lamar Colorado is very nice inside with a lot to look at throughout. The sit down bar offers a wide variety of liquor to please everyone and many beer selections.
The restaurant can accommodate a huge dinner and lunch crowd, so no worries.
There hours weren’t listed on the doors so maybe call ahead to check availability.
Just Facebook Casa Azteca to see more.
I actually asked and they said Monday-Friday 11am-9:30
Saturday & Sunday 11am-10pm.
The areas of upgrades for my reviews is always, accessibility for people who are wheelchair ♿️ or just people who need more help entering any business.
It’s a huge statement to offer push button entry to accommodate all.
Other than that, I thank Casa Azteca for the good meal and warm environment. The music was nice as well.

Stopped in here on our drive to Texas. I enjoyed that they gave each person a bowl for salsa. Their quesadilla was so big it took up half the plate, and my friend said it was good. My beef enchiladas, as well as the rice and beans were good, but the beef could use a little more seasoning. Service was prompt and friendly.
