This USE to be a favorite place of mine and I visited 2-4 times a week until they started screwing you on the food portions. Yesterday did it, I’ve had enough, the soup was ridiculous. This is exactly what I had when I got home and unpacked my $46 order. Half a cup of soup but full price charged. This casa azteca, is a great way to lose customers by the boat loads. Being stingy with what we have already paid for is very poor business ethics. Try Tios Tacos & Tequila off hwy 50 down the road. They treat their customers much better than this place and are super accommodating. Plus your salsa tasted like tomato sauce.

3.23- Very surprised by my own rating. I had high hopes walking into this place. Starred of with warm freshly made chip. Then I tasted the salsa, and it was downhill from there. Salsa was closer to marinara sauce. The red hot sauce was perfect, though; it was the best part of the meal. Now, back to the bad: tacos were horrible. Soft tacos from Taco Bell are better. Probably the smallest tacos I’ve ever received from a Mexican restaurant. Do better!

Honestly I wanted to love it and didn’t. Salsa tasted like tomato sauce more than anything. My friends fajita quesadilla was lacking on the meat. Our margaritas tasted like juice no taste of alcohol. Our server did not check on us but once after food was brought. My chimichanga…why was there shredded cheese put into it? It wasn’t Ben evenly distributed, I did change my order to ask for cheese sauce to be on top not knowing they put shredded cheese inside which is weird. But even then the cheese inside tasted cheap and not good. The tamale was good. Queso dip was good but small. The food overall was edible but just not noteworthy or anything I’d crave again knowing the many other places to go in the area.

We stopped there after a day of softball tournaments Saturday and found this on google..The only thing was they’re not serving buffet anymore or it’s just during the week.
Most people would have left, but we figured why not try them anyway.
I’ll admit that the food was pretty good and the service was awesome.
Will probably t most likely go again when we’re nearby..

I came here looking for some good Mexican food, and it definitely delivered. I started with the grilled chicken street taco — the meat was juicy and full of flavor. Next, I tried the sampler appetizer, which included two tacos, wings, and half a quesadilla served with guacamole. Everything was fresh and tasty, especially the beef in the tacos.
I also ordered the grilled steak served in a sizzling pan — it was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. On top of that, the horchata and jamaica drinks were both refreshing and some of the best I’ve had.
Overall, great food, great flavors. I’ll definitely be back!

I’m from out of town and this place is as authentic as the Mexican restaurants I go to in Chicago. From the atmosphere, the music, and their salsas made me feel back at home. It was hard finding a Mexican restaurant that was good out in this area most of them lack that real Mexican authentic taste. Waitress was extremely friendly as soon as me and my co-worker sat down she brought out chips and salsa(at no extra charge),she also brought out this home made salsa to go along with the chips that had a great taste. I ordered the 3 taco meal (1-chicken,1- Al pastor & 1-carnitas) with rice and beans but opted for double rice instead. The food came out very promptly and the meats tasted fresh, they didn’t taste like they sat all day in a pot. Both of their green and red salsa were amazing. They also use standard 6” tortillas not like some of these places in the area that sell you a 4” taco, that’s not a real taco. I also got a medium horchata that was very tasty and it complimented my food. I would most definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone in the mood for real Mexican food or anyone who knows real Mexican food you won’t be disappointed.

2.99 street tacos? Yes please! They were so delicious, seasoned, and FULL of protein. Of course complementary chips and salsa were served. We also got the Pollo Felix, a side of queso (watery and small portion but great flavor), and medium sized margaritas. The drink menu doesn’t list prices but the medium frozen margs are $8.45.
Very kind and friendly waitress. Has really nice outdoor seating as well.

The BEST fried chicken on the planet! The fresh made tacos and enchiladas are also on point. Of course, if you go when it’s not busy the buffet might not be as fresh, but it is still delicious. Going during the lunch or dinner rush will guarantee everything is super fresh. The waitresses are all very nice. This spot is well worth the few minutes drive from the interstate if you are just passing by, but remember they are closed on Sundays.
Update: They don’t have a buffet anymore but you can go up to now but you can order 7 of those items. Let the enchiladas cool off because they come out super hot.
