Really enjoyed our meal. The food was amazing. I had the chimi roll, and it was gigantic. Stuffed full with carne Asad and rice and beans. The guacamole was excellent and I loved the pickled onions. The murals on the wall were just beautiful. Overall a wonderful dining experience.

Swung by with some girlfriends and it was delightful! Excellent staff, Lizet was our waitress and she was so sweet and thorough. I also recommend their micheladas. Mine was delicious! Lizet put a flower in mine for a special touch. XOXO! We had the pozole. It was a great serving size and was perfect for the cold day.

Splurged today while in Caldwell and popped in to have lunch. Had the grilled shrimp on a bed of rice with a side of beans. The shrimp were nicely seasoned, not too spicy, but tasty. The rice was perfectly done. My server was delightful!! Friendly, patient, very polite, with a big smile despite the fact it was obvious she had been working hard through the lunch rush.
The place itself is really cool inside. Cool wood tables, a nice blend of art, the bar setups seems to double as artistic as well, on purpose or not its all pretty cool.
Can’t wait to go back when I have more time to experience a full dinner!!

We were pleased that the salsa and sauces on our food were sufficiently spicy and flavorful. It was some of the best sauces I’ve had on the smothered burrito (red, cheese, and green). Our only complaint on the food was that the shrimp seemed overcooked (too dense and chewy) in the enchiladas. I would recommend the smothered burrito, but beware it’s super big We were seated next to a pink neon sign (which colored the photos). The music seemed a little too overtuned (lots of bass and volume)

Went during a brunch event, the food was amazing, the drinks were great, and Noelia was an absolute rockstar behind the bar during the super busy event. Even with a nonstop crowd, she stayed calm, friendly, and incredibly attentive, making sure every guest felt welcome and well taken care of. Her speed, skill, and genuine warmth really made the brunch experience special. Anyone would be lucky to have her serving!

I was hoping for larger food portions for the prices. The $4 rice and beans add on to go with the tacos were small (in my opinion). But, it was decent tasting food. I didn’t try their margaritas because I’m pregnant. But would love to try them in the future. They have a great looking drink menu.

10/10 experience at Café Añejo! Lively vibe, great staff, and easily the best Mexican food in the Treasure Valley. Do yourself a favor and order the wet burrito (especially if you like spice) or the fajitas. Don’t skip the homemade chips and Salsa Jardin!

Let me start with, the food taste sooo good! BUTTT I spend over $100 here every time and every single time stuff is forgotten, stuff that makes the meal, and completes the dish. I’ve had to run back there 3 times every time, in order to get the things they forgot, and it’s not just one item, it’s multiple things are forgotten. This time I’m pretty upset that I order again and more things are forgotten again. This time I’m not running back there and we’ve decided we just won’t order from here again. To me when you order food and you don’t receive everything you ordered it’s like stealing my money. Theres places out there that taste good and I get everything I order the first time, that are also cheaper.
