Well. La Paz just got better. It is impossible to convey the wave of pleasant that came over me as I ate the food, swam in the pool and checked out the rooms.
This redesign was a nice casita for a handful of families.
Now it’s yours. Perfect location, great prices, excellent food and the most adorable hotel rooms you’ve ever stayed in.
Miguel is the perfect host. If you want to be served great food ask for Palmira by name.
Oh my Dog. This place.
The restaurant itself looks amazing, the kind of place that works for a first date, a family dinner, or just rolling solo. Great vibe, epic food, and a team that clearly cares. Can’t wait to come back and run through more of the menu.
As for the food: we ordered gnocchi, mac and cheese (one person asked for it without bacon — and they got it just right), and I had the chicken quesadillas. Everything tasted like proper comfort food: rich, flavorful, and top-notch in quality.
Desserts were a highlight as well: clearly made with care and really delicious. The place also has air conditioning, which made it extra comfortable on a warm day.
One thing to note: the wait for the food was a bit long. But to be fair, the quality of the dishes made it worth it. Also, soft drinks come in smaller 275ml cans, which felt a bit limited compared to the usual larger servings.
All in all, a stylish little spot with a retro twist and food that hits the spot. Worth a visit if you’ve got the time to take it slow.
The mole quesadillas are, I am not exaggerating, one of the single most delicious things I’ve eaten in my entire life. The gnocchi my companion ordered was well received. Not cheap.
I must note that we could not have sat inside the restaurant due to a rather pervasive perfumed smell, one that also was prominent in the bathrooms.
