I can’t praise Cary sweets enough for their incredible cakes and fantastic customer service. Finding a truly great halal bakery can sometimes be a challenge, but this place has mastered it. Every single cake is an absolute delight, from the rich and decadent chocolate creations to the light and fruity sponges. You can genuinely taste the quality of the ingredients in every bite; they are moist, flavorful, and perfectly balanced—never too sweet.
Beyond the delicious treats, the experience is made exceptional by the staff. On my last visit, I was helped by a nice young woman , She was so patient and genuinely passionate about their products, taking the time to walk me through all the different flavor options without ever making me feel rushed. She helped me pick the perfect cake and. It’s rare to find such warmth and attentiveness in customer service these days.
Not only did the cake exceed all expectations in taste, but the entire process, from walking in the door to leaving with my order, was a total pleasure. This bakery is a gem, and it’s clear they put a lot of love and care into both their baked goods and their customer interactions. I had an appointment nearby, but I arrived a bit early and decided to take a short walk. It started snowing, so I went looking for a coffee shop. I ordered a cappuccino and a cream bun without expecting much. Oh my goodness, it was literally the best pastry I’ve had in the last five years. So soft and airy, and the cream was absolutely amazing. Light, not overly sweet, and everything just melted in my mouth.
The coffee was incredible too. Don’t let the simple, no-frills look of this place fool you, it’s absolutely worth it. The barista was also very sweet. Definitely recommend.

Very glad I stumbled into this little bakery after teaching a qigong yoga class nearby. The plain croissant was a perfect accompaniment to my bitter sweet coffee. Unlike soggy flaccid croissants elsewhere, this is flaky on the outside with some layered chewiness on the inside. It’s buttery but not overly rich, it doesn’t leave a greasy coating on the teeth and lips. I also bought the Mille fueille and a blackberry sliced cake. I’d have liked for them to reduce the sugar level or offer mildly sweet options for those of us watching our sugar intake. Overall, I’d say they’re both sweet but not sickening sweet. I also like that they added real berries in the glaze for the cake. The shop feels bright and clean. The items are reasonably priced which is particularly helpful in these times for many of us. They have some tables and chairs where you can kick up your legs and take in the free aromas from the kitchen. One other thing that left me with a positive impression was that the lady who served me was friendly and generous. She rounded it down so I didn’t have to fumble with the coins. Will definitely visit again.

Wow, this bakery is hands down the BEST and most DELICIOUS ever! Run by a warm and generous Algerian family, they serve up amazing cakes, pastries, tarts, and croissants. The cake flavors are out of this world—mango, tiramisu, chocolate strawberry, mocha, chocolate peanut, oreo, lemon, pineapple, coconut, raspberry, blueberry…and the best part? LOVE THE SWEETS! They have so many cakes to choose from! The cakes are not too sweet but are just right! The service there is so warm and they always make me feel like a regular! Love them and would go back all the time! If you don’t want to go to someones house empty handed. Go to Cary Sweets because who does not like colorful cakes that taste so good! I have been here 7 times btw!!
