They sell gift cards. On two separate occasions i tried to simply use a gift card to buy a cake but was told the POS system is new and they dont know how to do it. Mind you these visits were weeks apart. Not sure how you can sell gift cards but be unsure how to use them, it just seemed Off. Will probably try other carvels

Ugh, so sad to write this, but this location has gone drastically downhill under the new management. It’s become the most expensive ice cream option in town and the portions are smaller than ever. A kids cup or cone is actually just one bite. Rude service as well, would not recommend!

Despite the fact that my area has Friendly’s Ice Cream, Foster’s Ice Cream and Dairy Queen (all wonderful brands), we seem to gravitate to Carvel. The store smells remarkable (no fried food smell), the sheer simplicity of the menu (ice cream, ice cream and more ice cream) and they have the best soft-serve. Plus 2 for 1 sundaes on Wednesdays makes it a irresistible destination.

Horrible experience. The guy at the front wasn’t able to comprehend anything that I wanted. It took 5 min to get him to understand what ice cream flavor I wanted, he didn’t know what Reese’s peanut butter cups were and kept trying to put regular peanut butter on it. I asked for butterfingers instead, he then DUNKS the entire ice cream in the butterfinger bin, I asked for Nutella on top. I got a GLOB of Nutella on my ice cream, I knew it looked off and chunky and when I took a bite it was old Nutella. I went back in and got it remade with just the butterfingers on top and let them know the Nutella was old. When I took a bite of the new one THE BUTTERFINGERS WERE STALE. I gave up. The ice cream flavor itself was also nasty (vanilla peanut butter). I’ve been here once before and my experience was opposite but this last experience ruined it for me. I threw the ice cream out after 2 bites.

I recently purchased my grandsons 10th birthday cake here. He wanted cookies and cream ice cream with yellow cake in the center. The staff uses pound cake and the cake was just delicious. Can’t thank you enough. We will definitely return. We love Carvel!

Honestly speaking, the friendly service is stupendous. As soon as you walk in you’re greeted with such a warm welcoming. Customer service like this is hard to find. They’re efficient at what they do and are passionate about upholding these standards. The ice cream also tasted just as great. I would definitely go to this location again. Check it out if you live in the Avon area!
