I went to Caruso’s for the Rams game two weeks ago and ordered happy hour four dark rum and Cokes with fried calamari. It was good and a fair price. Tonight I went to the bar and asked the bartender if it was happy hour and she said yes. I ordered two dark rum and Cokes with a personal pizza and was charged double for my drinks. I asked the bartender why my bill was so high and she responded that the drinks weren’t happy hour priced because they were dark rum. I then asked her why would I ask if it were happy hour if I didn’t want a happy hour drink. She responded it wasn’t her fault. I call BS. I feel cheated.

Our waitress was Nyla and she was absolutely phenomenal. The restaurant promotes itself as a Steelers (football) place although no one from here is from Pittsburgh but it was a great vibe. The music was on POINT and we had a great time.
The food was ~okay . I wasn’t feeling the salad but the garlic bread and pasta was good. We ordered the promodoro and a chicken dish (I forget the name)

Normally and willingly I say great things about places as the one in topic, waited nearly 20 minutes and nobody came to my table, I called the restaurant from within to get someone to take my order, I’m not too much of a critic. However being the is Friday all their focus is at patrons at the bar.
I feel there is no communication between hostess (if there is 1) and the servers.
Food is great not critiquing their food, but their service…..I know I’m not buying alcoholic drinks but I’m still spending money here.

Thank you to the Caruso team for handling my order. There was a mixup up through the Slice website / App but they fixed it and made everything right. I recommend this location and will return to dine in and enjoy the bar

I have been to Caruso’s a few times since 2023 for lunch, dinner, and to attend my friends gigs who perform in a cover band there. While the ballroom, restaurant, and bar sections can initially be confusing when you enter for the first time, and service near the bar can be slow on busy nights (I would go on Friday nights), the food, drinks, and overall experience is fantastic. My go to meal is the calzone. Very few restaurants (Italian or not) make them, and even fewer make them without ricotta cheese. To me, this is a hidden gem in an otherwise ordinary Granada Hills shopping center.

We had a delightful dinner for our 40th anniversary. Everything we had was delicious, the entries had plenty of garlic, the salads were large and crisp, and our garlic bread was grilled to perfection. Will definitely return.
