Amazing people and delicious food! We are the chicken, fries, gizzards and chicken livers. The chicken nuggets are half the size of my fist, and the chicken tenders are huge! Friendly staff, average cleanliness, and room to sit or stretch your legs.
We ordered 2 chic sandwiches, fries all the way around, and split a 8 piece.
The chicken was delicious and well prepared. 30 minutes between the ordering and the finishing.
Everyone left happy and full.
Recommend for the traveling families.

We come here once or twice a year during hunting season. Went by today. Started off having to microwave everything because it was cold after only a 10 minute drive. Then the chicken seemed to be fried at too high of a temperature and the skin was hard as a rock. Also, got a few wings with my meal and had to be some of the smallest wings I’ve ever seen. Not to mention the service wasn’t the most pleasant. Won’t be returning.

Carter’s is a small town counter order fried chicken joint. We were on the road and this was one of the only options around.
It’s nothing fancy, but the chicken was cooked fresh (had to wait 10 minutes or so) and tasted very good.
I’d much rather have their chicken than that of a typical fast food place.
