Street tacos are $1.49 tonight and $2 all week long on their grand opening menu. They make their own blue corn tortillas. The inside of the restaurant inside is decorated with lighted Jarrito bottles and colorful papel picado hanging from the ceiling. It was a long wait for a table so I ordered to go. They were sold out of a lot of the tacos but I was able to try the steak and chicken and they were both very tasty and went perfectly with a strawberry Jarrito.
I will definitely come back for the dine in experience once the crowds die down and they offer the full menu with breakfast. lunch. and dinner. It was super crowded tonight but the staff remained friendly and welcoming. It took an hour to get my order and even longer for the orders placed after me. It is great to have a new, authentic Mexican spot close to home and based on the turnout tonight they are just what the neighborhood needed.
Tucked away in the back of a humble Mexican grocery store, Sabor Hispano is the definition of a hidden gem. We stumbled in for a quick bite and left completely obsessed. If you’re a true taco lover, this is where you want to be.
We tried the lengua, mixed meats, al pastor, crispy tripe, and cow head—each taco crafted with love and loaded simply with fresh cilantro and onions, just the way it should be. The meats were incredibly flavorful and tender, especially the lengua and cow head, and that crispy tripe? Perfectly soft and full of rich, bold flavor. Every taco was a hit.
What really sealed the deal were their homemade chile sauces—smoky, spicy, and clearly made with care. You can taste the authenticity in every bite.
The place itself is spotlessly clean and has that cozy, homey vibe that makes you want to keep coming back. You feel like you’re being welcomed into someone’s kitchen, not just dining at a restaurant.
We were longtime fans of Taqueria Doña Raquel, but it’s too far from us now. Luckily, we found Sabor Hispano—our new taco spot. No frills. All flavor.
