Found this gem online. As soon as you walk in you’re greeted by friendly staff and something sweet coming from the kitchen. The place is small but cozy and decorated from top to bottom. The tables are designed nice and the whole place has a southern look and vibe to it even with the old bay seasoning and hot sauce on each table. The server was sweet and came over whenever we needed. The menu is reasonable in both items and pricing. The drinks are super cute and the food is delicious totally worth the wait. The vibes is nice and quiet inside. You can tell they make the food on site. I would definitely come back here again whether it’s for a date or with a group. Everyone was Profesional yet very friendly you can tell it’s a small business because it felt personal and warm.

Good morning here with a brand new review. So parking is on the street and the place is rather small however decorated very nice. Menu is lacking, my poor honey couldn’t see the add ons and it made him nervous. I tried to reassure him and it did and it turn out fine, however I have some things to keep in mind for the start. Biscuits are absolutely the best however served pipping hot from the oven on a cast iron skillet. We were told how hot the skillet was and to avoid touching it. The biscuits were just as hot and we weren’t given any small plates to put the biscuits on. I had to use a napkin at my table. We asked for coffee not asked if we wanted creamer but some was brought to our table. It was flavored hazelnut. Anyone with allergies please ask. The food was very well thought out, however no option of eggs on the menu but we were told that those were sides. Eggs had cheese in it, to my sensitive dairy people again ask. The food ideas are new and innovative. He had the chicken in a waffle cone, and I chose the yammy waffle. We had to pay for the bacon and the sausage to be put on the side. But those were so yummy and worth it. The coffee was great. All in all a great experience the staff was very kind.

I really wanted to like this place. My husband took me here for Mother’s Day. We were seated, then asked about drinks. They only have mock tails and that was fine. I ordered one and it tasted good. The issues started when we ordered our food. Our food took so long that the young lady assisting the servers thought we had already eaten and came past to remove our plates. I let her know we never got our food. My husband ordered what he thought would be a bougie version of chicken and waffles. It ended up being a frozen and breaded chicken breast cut up inside of a hard waffle ice cream cone. The chicken was not good and the presentation was sloppy. I ordered their “shells and grits” with the crabby corn on the side. Everything came out piecemeal, our sides came out on a separate plate before our main dish. I finally received my main dish, which was shrimp and grits. It obviously had been sitting around for a while because the grits had a layer on top that showed that it had sat and cooled. when I tasted it everything was cold, the grits and the shrimp. I asked for it to be reheated when it was returned they gave me fewer shrimp, and the grits were not tasty and not well-made. It was a very disappointing meal and service was very slow on top of that. One of the servers slipped and fell. The woman who I believe was the owner did not show any kind of empathy. The young lady was obviously injured because I could hear her crying. To her credit she attempted to get herself together. A table of 6 that had arrived about 7 to 8 minutes after us never got their drinks. They had to ask twice and by the time we left only two people at their table had drinks.

We met friends here for brunch! The place was clean and nicely decorated! We were greeted with a smile and a lovely table. After deciding what to get, we ordered our food and drinks. Our drinks came quickly and with the drinks, came some fabulously delicious homemade biscuits-probably the best we’ve ever eaten! Our food came shortly after we finished the biscuits and everything was cooked to perfection! We all tasted each others dishes and all four of us enjoyed each dish! When done we ordered more biscuits to go! We all agree, having eaten all over Hampton Roads and all around the world , that the place was clean with appropriate decor, the service was very friendly and timely as well as the food-which was fabulous! We will certainly go back and we felt the price point was certainly in sync with the great quality of the food!!! You won’t be disappointed!

I didn’t want to share my experience , but it has been weighing on my heart. My son and I visited about 3 weeks ago. I ordered the Belgium waffle cone stuffed wirh chicken and he ordered the French toast with thick cut bacon. While the French toast was OK, the bacon consisted on about 5 shriveled up half pieces of regular cut bacon and the Belgium waffle cone was actually an ice cream cone ( can be purched at your local grocery store in
packs of 12.) Please update your menu so that no one expects a Belgium waffle cone or thick sliced bacon. I so wanted to.enjoy.the food, but I was highly disappointed. It felt like fasle advertising. In Kindness, LMKD

It was love at first bite! The menu was amazing, so many choices! I got chicken and waffles for Mom and French toast with a peach cobbler twist for myself. The mac and cheese bites were phenomenal! And the peaches? Perfection! 10/10! #Food #Restaurant #Breakfast #ChickenAndWaffles #FrenchToast #Peaches #MacAndCheese #Delicious #Foodie

The opening service left room for improvement. I did not receive the coffee I ordered, but I wasn’t charged for it. My husband’s order arrived with my side, but my entree had to be reordered. When I received my cinnamon roll the dough was raw, but the peach cobbler on top was good. The portion sizes don’t match the menu cost.

Not up to par for the price. We arrived 20 min after opening on Father’s day to an empty room. Seated quick and drunk orders taken quick. My wife and I each ordered a coffee and she wanted a water also. Her water arrived and almost 10 min later one cup of coffee came to the table. I ordered some doughnuts and chicken and waffle dish, my wife wanted a peach cobbler cinnamon roll. Like another reviewer pointed out things came out sparse. The doughnuts were mini pancakes in an awful presentation, not doughnuts at all. Chicken and waffle was cut up nuggets in a waffle cone, nothing Belgium about it. My wife’s cinnamon roll came out well after I had finished and was completely raw dough. This all compounded when there was no coffee or water refills offered a standard for any restaurant. I asked for water near the end of my meal only to take a drink and notice something green frozen into my ice. The sting was the bill. 43 bucks before tip. The 17 bucks for an embarrassing chicken and waffle cone and is crazy. And this was brought up by someone else previously. Still charging for raw dough and the kicker is the paying for tap water. Oh and don’t forget the credit card fee. For the approximate 50 bucks for two people there are far better experiences in the area. Save your money and avoid.
