Love Carson’s! Karaoke bars are so fun. The drinks are cold and it’s always a good time.
That being said, this bar desperately needs to invest in acoustic sound absorbing panels in the main bar and side party room. The sound was bouncing around and everyone had to yell to be heard, way before the karaoke started. My family is in the bar business and sound panels made my family’s bar so much more enjoyable. They’re not that expensive and it will change the experience in there. Unsolicited advice I know, but I had to share. Thank you for hosting us!

One of the more true dive bars in Soulard. Hard for me to call it a sports bar. More like a big finished basement with a bar. Very unassuming. Apparently they do karaoke on Sunday afternoons which was the perfect energy for the time. Staff was friendly. Beer selection pretty standard.

Went on a first date with a Marine Sargent. All went well until I asked the staff for a barstool with a back on it. I explained to the staff that the Marine Sargeant has a hurting back. The staff told the Marine Sargent to sit at the bar. Why couldn’t he have it in the location where we had chosen to sit, near the back? My date went well, but I won’t ever return to this place.

We came from out of town after being told this was a great karaoke bar. The attention to order of singers and the organization was terrible. I couldn’t hear the music on stage while I sang so I went down on the floor to hear it. Security interrupted me in the middle of my song to tell me I had to go back up on stage. The dj wasn’t even at the sound booth to adjust it while I sang. Security was rude two other times. We are middle aged and very subdued. Very disappointed. We left for a different place and will tell the locals who recommended it not to do so again. This bar isn’t worth your time or money due to rude security and the dj.

Staff was very Grinchy, I get it’s the holidays probably a busy and stressful time for them. But I called to ask about reservations, which is mentioned in the contract us info on their website. When I called, she had some trouble understanding me since I guess it was loud, but hung up. So I called again, asked about reservations since I have 8 friends coming. She said we don’t do that, and as I asked another question she hung up on me. So I called back, another woman answered very rude from the start. Told her I had questions but got hung up on, she said “the music stopped so what do you want?!” In a gruff rude voice, so I asked why are you being rude I don’t understand. She told me I was rude, and hung up. It was crazy… hopefully we have a good experience when we go, but will definitely not make plan for friends here again unless we have too. Cheers!! Sending less grumpy vibes.

Went to close out my tab at 1 am this morning and they said they didn’t have my credit card. Not only is an extra set of drinks that I didn’t order charged to my CC but someone tried to use it today downtown in stl. Fraud and thieves that work here!

We are visiting from out of town and came here in a Friday night for karaoke. The website says they serve food until 9 pm, so I went up for a menu at 8:15 and the bartender told me they only serve food until 5 pm. I was starving so walked across the street then came back. The music was so, so loud that it was distorted and hurt our ears so much we had to leave. The balance of the music was terrible, blown out beyond what the speakers could handle. And that’s everywhere in the bar, not just in front of the stage.
The drinks we got were good and service was good, no complaints there at all. I’m just sad we had to leave to eat and then when we came back it was so loud we had to leave.
