Rarely have I been so excited over a new opening but after seeing Carrot & Daikon opening in Placentia I felt like a kid at Christmas in anticipation of eating here. The soft opening bringing their famous banh mi from Westminster was the gift of the holiday season!
There was a photo of the Lomo Saltado on the window and despite being a fan of the crispy pork belly and grilled pork I decided to try this one and glad I did. Super meaty and flavorful.
The dining area is nice, too. Spacious and comfy. Service is great. One of the negatives of the drive thru in Westminster was nowhere to sit and eat while hit n fresh so this location has the best of both worlds. Will be back often.

Stopped by the new location in Placentia to check it out since they’re now serving pho along with their bánh mì. We ordered the Crispy Pork Belly Bánh Mì, Lomo Saltado Bánh Mì, Ribeye Steak & Brisket Pho, Egg Rolls, and a Coffee Bạc Xỉu. The lomo saltado bánh mì was probably my favorite — good amount of beef and flavor, and the bread had that crisp outside with a soft center. The crispy pork belly was also really solid, especially if you like a little more texture in your sandwich. Wifey really enjoyed the ribeye and brisket pho. The broth had good depth and they weren’t light on the meat, so it felt worth it. The bạc xỉu was a nice way to finish — sweet, strong, and definitely gave that extra caffeine kick. Overall, it’s a solid addition to the area. If you’re already a fan of their bánh mì, having pho on the menu now just gives you more to work with.

Honestly the food is awesome everything is good and they dont skimp on the meat.
BUT.
THE TRUE DEAL IS THE BREAD 3 delicous crispy loaves of pillowy soft bread the only downside is they get SOFTER when they get “stale” and even then they re-crisp really well in airfryer or oven at 400

I came here last night with my boyfriend. As we walked in, we saw empty of bowls pho filled with broth from previous customers (one person working) We ordered 2 number 3, pho came out with no bean sprouts because they were out and it was the fattiest bowl of pho I have ever eaten. No flavor, no pho aroma, just fat! I will come back for sandwiches and hoping they taste and are good quality as the other locations. Good luck.

I’ve always love this place but was mistreated. The cashier was taking my order and out of the blue, she cancel my order and took the order over the phone and when I called her out on it, she giggled like it was a joke. Being HANGRY, I was really mad about the situation. I spoke to the mower and just politely told her to train her staff more. But overall food always good.

I came here to order the special combination beef Pho which was around a $17 bowl and they packed it to the brim which was it bang for my buck! The pho broth was flavorful, comforting, and hit the spot!
The owners and workers there were very caring and checked on how we were doing and I love the clean spacious interior and there is so much seating available.
I also really loved their Vietnamese coffee and their Thai tea drinks. I would just come here alone for those amazing drinks. Overall I would come back to this bomb restaurant in you’re in the mood for some great authentic Vietnamese Pho!

Before my bowl of soup could came out. They said that they were out of bean sprouts. I then canceled my order for soup. This is 10:45am. Because I needed to leave and then. Our spring roll was the most disgusting thing I have ever seen. The grilled pork was nothing but fat had-0 flavor and not even cooked. Had to spit it out.

I’ve eaten here several times, twice since the switch to Carrot & Daikon. Honestly, I was a bit disappointed. I think the Pho was better(broth and rare steak)under the previous owners. I’ve been to the other C&D in Corona to try their Banh Mi, which was just average. They’ve been hit or miss pretty much. I might give them another try one day.
Also, you pay at the register first now. How can they ask for the tip when I haven’t been served, or expect one for not seating me or coming to take my order. Might well just be viet fast food and remove tips from the whole equation.

We placed our order and were seated at 7:08pm. Almost waiting nearly (1) hour, we were told at approximately 8pm that they ran out of phò. This is completely unacceptable for a place who’s staple item on the menu is PHÒ.
