We wanted to like this place. That’s why we chose it for our anniversary. Sadly, it was marginal at best and a disappointment.
The good:
✅ our server was nice and did her best
✅ The banging shrimp app was a large portion and tasty
✅ The rolls were a hit with the hubs
The bad:
The old fashioneds we ordered took *forever* – server kept apologizing – and it wasn’t busy at all
The drinks were also ho hum
Then there are the steaks – while they were cooked mostly as ordered and looked great – they were tough (even hub’s ribeye!) and lacked flavor. I had to douse mine with steak sauce, which is not necessary at other places.
Maybe an off night? Dunno – plus while that might explain such crazy slow drink service, it would not explain the sub-par steaks. They simply were not flavorful. Will we try it another time or recommend it to others? Probably not.

I figured for a wood fired Grill my steak would be chared at least a little bit.. it was steamed with little seasoning…also had asparagus. . No flavor at all ..bummed a bit. ..we were part of large party…15 plus…didn’t want to wait for another steak.. will we go back sure thing. Will try the half rack of ribs and different side.

We jumped in with an appetizer, the fried pickles! Perfectly prepared, lightly battered and so crispy! We all had the lunch special. What a deal with choice of soup , salad, & sandwich or fries. The camp stew, with mouthwatering cornbread cakes was a hit with two of our group. I had beef stew and it was delicious! Another had the broccoli and cheese with no regrets. Three of us chose the Cubana sandwich with the perfect combination of pulled pork, ham, sauerkraut, mustard and pickles on a panini bread. Chef’s kiss All were pleased and full, with two having left overs!! Over all, great selections and FANTASTIC service!! We met Melissa, the owner and talked recipes and our love of cooking from scratch! She was such a delight! We will be back again and again!!!

Our waitress was great. The atmosphere is awesome. The food not so much. My salad was wet, French onion soup not hot, and chicken was tough. Our first appetizer was replaced with another due to quality and others of my party were not happy with their dinners either. But again, the wait staff and atmosphere was great.

This was my first time eating here for my brothers birthday. The blooming onion was great. Rolls with cinnamon butter was delicious and the steaks had a great taste. Did not need steak sauce. Will definitely be back.

We came here just this past Saturday and had a nice family dinner. The food was excellent and had really good flavor. Our server Daviana was an absolute sweetheart throughout our time here. Other staff members were also very friendly. I really appreciate the dinner guys! Atmosphere is kid friendly and family oriented.

Where do I begin?? Welcomed as we walked in, quickly taken to a table and our server, Clancy, was very attentive to our needs. The steaks were seasoned to dang near perfection. The only negative is the fried deviled eggs were not on point. The brownie alamode was a big hit as well. I’ve already bragged on this place to half dozen coworkers and we will be returning

We had an amazing experience at the Chophouse. From the bread with cinnamon butter to our steaks were all amazing. The staff is very friendly and takes there time to at each table. The atmosphere is great as well.
A little on the pricey side, but we’ll worth the cost.

My family & I came in for a meal here & had excellent service by the owner Melissa! We have heard great things about the Carrollton Chophouse & it did not disappoint!! The food was to die for!! The steaks was cooked to perfection, juicy, and tender! The appetizers are very unique, & tasty! Especially the fried green tomatoes!! I especially loved the French onion soup!
We certainly will be back to explore more of the menu❤️
