The kolaches are amazing! I’ve tried most of the flavors and the Spinach & Artichoke one is my favorite savory one while the seasonal Peach & Cream one is my favorite sweet one. I don’t know how they make the bread part but they’re so soft and springy.

This is the best lunch food in the entire city! The best part is it’s a nonprofit. The food tastes amazing too. You don’t need to order ahead, the line moves very quickly. There wraps are the absolute best. I recommend trying the Kolach.

Nice, classic sandwich spot right downtown, and I really appreciate the causes they support!
I did have a food mishap though. I ordered a turkey sandwich and potato salad, since I don’t eat pork, I asked for the sandwich without bacon. When I started eating the potato salad, I noticed it tasted a bit like bacon, but I assumed it might just be a smoked flavor and kept eating it. When my husband tried it, he confirmed it definitely had bacon. It seems I was given the bacon potato salad instead of the regular one, which is what I ordered (and what was listed on my receipt).
Especially since pork is something many people avoid for religious or personal reasons, and I had already requested no bacon on my sandwich I feel like this was a big miss.
To avoid this completely, I do wish there were more vegetarian options beyond just grilled cheese and sides.

I went to Carroll’s Kitchen because I knew they support women bouncing back from crisis. I ordered the Everything Bacon Kolache. It was cream cheese, bacon, and onions in a yeast roll. It was $4 of delicious that washed down with the strawberry lemonade. I will definitely recommend Carroll’s Kitchen to anyone for the cause and flavor.

Been looking for a place that sells quiche and today I finally found it!!! Ordered 2 pieces and the bacon was much better seasoned and tastier than the Greek but I really enjoyed them both.

Back again today and ordered my delicious quiches and also tried the kolaches. They were larger than expected and had an awesome sweet and savory taste. The part that made my day was that they were out of one of the flavors I ordered so they let me try 2 different flavors. I just love when owners and their staff go above and beyond to ensure guest satisfaction. This has just become my new all time favorite spot to eat!!!!
UPDATE 1/4/23 Ordered Turkey Brie sandwich and it was amazing. The maple mayo and bacon gave it a sweet and savory flavor packed with turkey!!! Chicken Velvet Soup and Bacon Quiche are unique and NEVER disappoint!! This location is consistent and run by people who care about their customers and the quality of service they give!!!❤️❤️❤️ UPDATE 10/14/24 ordered the Croissant Sandwich with bacon and it had tons of bacon on it which was nice. I was, for the first time, disappointed with the advertised “buttery” croissant. The croissant was tough and chewy and did not taste buttery at all. Very disappointed and not the quality I expected out of this location!!! UPDATE 9/15/25 My Bacon Quiche and Turkey Brie sandwich were both hot and fresh!! ❤️❤️The quiche crust is flaky and has a wonderful buttery flavor❤️ Consistently worth every penny!!!

Just discovered this place looking for a healthier option for lunch when I’m in town. Stopped in and grabbed a feta and spinach kolache and it was amazing. My mother’s side is all Slovak and I’m from up north so I’m pretty bougie about my kolaches. Two thumbs up for sure. Will def be back.

I have used Carroll’s Kitchen for two catering orders for NC State, and both times they have been so wonderful to work with. They have gone above and beyond to meet my group’s needs, this time even pivoting and bringing on more staff to accommodate our event’s date change due to last week’s snow storm. Lauren, the manager, is so responsive and helpful. The store employees are kind and hard-working, and the food is delicious. They were also able to accommodate dietary restrictions easily and labeled ingredients on everything. I highly recommend Carroll’s Kitchen for group catering (but also for a delicious lunch downtown)!

They delivered right on time and the potato salad and baked beans were delicious! Cannot recommend their catering services enough!
