The Carriage House is wonderful! I’ve enjoyed a few meals here, and always look forward to the next one. The cocktails and wine list are well-curated, and the food is delicious. They have extensive outdoor dining options with a beautiful view. The staff is kind and thoughtful. I highly recommend you have your next meal here!

Visited on my birthday, the restaurant is built in a old estate and is kind of unique. The lower parking lot was lit up but their walkway up to the restaurant entrance was rather dark because some of their walkway lights were not working, had to be careful!!
Menu is limited, but varied enough to allow choices.
Food was cooked perfectly, beef was just as ordered, fish was well prepared.
Side dishes were quite nice, and everything was excellent!
Wine menu was ok, not many choices, but adequate for our needs that particular evening!
Desserts were very nicely done, although that evening two of I believe 6 choices were not available.
Did not have cocktails, so I cannot comment in those!
Being honest here, I believe the prices are a bit to high for the fare being offered.
I would return, but would hope their pricing comes down as their occupancy goes up!!

Love Love, Love this place. We tend to forget The Carriage House in Jville because they are just a block or two off the main drag. But, being off the said main drag is part of the draw. They offer such a beautiful setting. You’ll not find this kind of quality menu elsewhere, the food never disappoints…nor does the service. We sat out on the patio (no smoke!) and it was fabulous, out amongst the lights.
We just have to remind ourselves to get there more often!

I dined there on a Wednesday because they don’t have a corkage fee that night. We were told that this perk would be extended to Thursdays for the month of February. The food was solid. I had a classic French pepper steak that reminded me of the French pepper steaks I’d had a French restaurants in Vientiane, Laos run by French expats catering to French expats, and the cut of meat was better. I recommend if you’re looking for low key fine dining. Enjoy!

The Pros:
-Great tasting food (steak was perfectly done)
-Decent atmosphere
The Cons:
-Overpriced for quality.
-Small portions
-INCREDIBLY slow bar service
-Manager “hovered” over tables and staff, watching from the landing above. It was uncomfortable…
-Music was not enjoyable
-Horrible house cocktails
Overall our experience was not enjoyable. The quality of food was great, but the prices were not justified and sadly our entire experience was overdone. The paper menu was dirty, the dessert menu was actually scratch paper, the bar service was incredibly slow and the drinks were basically all grenadine and syrup. The steak was overpriced (but perfectly cooked and tasty still) and the beet salad was basically just spinach and canned beets. The house music was unpleasant and the service was formal to the extent of being uncomfortable and pretentious. In my opinion the entire experience was overdone and over the top, lacking in substance. If they would simplify their concept and lower the prices as a result it would have been much more enjoyable. French cuisine does not have to be pretentious,
Realistically we wouldnt usually want to go back. That being said the food was still fantastic, despite being overpriced and the experience uncomfortable. Hopefully they can sort out their “new restaurant” growing pains over the next few months and when we visit again our experience will be more enjoyable.

We recently visited the Carriage House for their brunch, and all three entrees were amazing. The waffles were superb and the omelettes were a savory treat, as were the asparagus and polenta. Brunch at the Carriage House is the best we have enjoyed in the Rogue Valley, and we hope to see this new offering flourish. Thank you, Carriage House, for a wonderful meal and excellent service!

The Carriage House in Jacksonville reminds me of the family run restaurants in France favored by the French truck drivers where some of the best most mouthwatering dishes are served. So delicious! The decor is countrified casual (like in France), so don’t expect to see the sleek modernity of Onyx except for the kitchen counter, and don’t expect to see faux hipster staff that don’t know their pastas from their pate’. The Carriage House staff are warm and welcoming and professional.

I cannot say enough about this restaurant! From the time we pulled up, until we left, amazing! The Grandeur of The Carriage House makes you feel special as soon as you arrive. We were greeted by the owner once we arrived, and promptly seated. The service was amazing, but down to the food We started with the prosciutto wrapped asparagus, and it exceeded my expectations! The presentation was gorgeous, and the flavour was perfectly balanced! My Mother had the Pork Belly Rissouto, and I had the Game Sausage Ravioli. For desert we had Creme Brulee. Thank you Carriage House for helping me make my Moma feel special on her 62nd birthday!

We went in with an open mind…and pallet and boy were were delighted. We (4 of us) went in knowing we would order different entree’s. Duck Risotto, Pad Thai, Roasted red pepper crepe, and the burger. I won’t go in to great detail here. Just know this; the service was Top Of The Mark. And a big nod to Chief. Dinner was amazing. All four entree’s where very, very good.
We all agreed, of the of the four, the Duck risotto was the best, bar none. Simply put; it’s a must order. Thank you Chief. Thank you Jake and the rest of the gang at The Carriage House..and, thank you Brent. You and the wife have put together something special! Your personal service was above and beyond.
Can’t wait for our next visit… SPOILER ALERT: it may be for brunch in a couple weeks. Yup.

Excellent food and service. All the food was very flavorful and unique. Marinated mushrooms with fresh picked merels were particularly good. Beautiful location. Outdoor setting was pleasant. Enjoyed the deer and fawns wondering the grounds. A great romantic get away.
