We had a great experience here. We stopped at this place after passing by and looking for something easy. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the restaurant is inside. The salsa had a great taste and the service was attentive. My entire family enjoyed their meal. The shredded chicken has a great taste. Highly recommend the quesadillas! We will return!

This was our first time visiting and unfortunately it will also be our last.
When we sat down, the manager came by and took our drink order. A few minutes later our waitress dropped the drinks off but didn’t greet us, introduce herself, or check in at all. After that, she completely disappeared. During that time, she waited on at least three other tables that had been seated after us while we sat there for about 15 minutes with no service.
We eventually had to flag someone down just to ask who our waitress was so we could place our order. When she finally came over, the first thing she said was, “Are you ready to order?” without any acknowledgment that we had been sitting there waiting the whole time.
The manager later came over and said it was just a “mishap” and not intentional, but the experience still left a bad impression. For a first visit, the lack of basic service and attention was really disappointing.
We did pay for our drinks before leaving, but at that point we decided it wasn’t worth staying any longer.

The decorations of the restaurant were really nice and created a great atmosphere. The food was okay overall, but the prices were a little on the high side for what you get. Still a pleasant place to visit, especially if you appreciate the ambiance.

Carreta’s is hands down one of my favorite spots! The food is absolutely amazing—I always get the Carreta’s Large with added steak, and it’s so delicious every time. The wait staff is incredibly fast and friendly, making the experience even better.
Beyond the food, I also come here for the ambiance. It’s a beautiful, well-designed restaurant..very clean, stylish, and inviting. I appreciate that it’s not one of those places blasting reggaeton while serving cheap tacos. No, ma’am! This is a spot for people who love quality food at a great price in a visually appealing setting.
And a special shoutout to Brenda for the amazing skinny margarita..truly the best I’ve had yet! Can’t wait for my next visit.

This place is wonderful! From the ambiance to the food, to the great service, I greatly enjoyed everything about this place!
My husband’s family is Hispanic so I have had a lot of good Hispanic cooking and this place is definitely one of the good places. I felt that that the portions were good for the price and the food tasted excellent. This is a place to recommend!

Went there yesterday for lunch since El Nopal was closed after 2pm for the Superbowl. The place has a great atmosphere, it feels much more upscale than other similar restaurants in the area. Food was about the same as others in the area. I do believe their dessert prices are high in my opinion so we passed on the dessert. I will say that the hostess or manager, whoever was at the front was very nice but our waitress was terrible, very unfriendly and unwelcoming. We had to ask for napkins, water, etc and she just would never say anything. I want to like this place but our waitress didn’t really make it a great experience.

A hidden gem! Upscale Mexican restaurant with excellent food and service. I went on a Monday for lunch and was in and out in less than 30 minutes. $9 for a lunch chimichanga, which tasted great. Their salsa, which is the baseline for all my Mexican restaurant reviews, is excellent – fresh, smooth, and a little spicy.
Their margarita prices are a little higher than expected, and I don’t think they have any happy hour specials.
It seems like they have a great product and could use a little help with marketing. I think even just adding “Upscale Mexican Restaurant” under the “Carretas” on their sign would go a long way. They need a Facebook page, too. More people should know about this place!
