We went here for the first time off a recommendation. We got there at 11:30am Friday, and it was perfect. As the clock struck 12 people started filing in, but we were already sat, with food on our table! The food came out quick and it was DELICIOUS. We’re originally from San Antonio and love Denver HOWEVER have a gaping hole in our heart for good Mexican food since leaving San Anto. THIS PLACE FILLS THAT GAP. The crispy tacos were delicious, the corn shell was flavorful and didn’t taste like cardboard. We got horchata which is hard to get down correctly. Theirs is DELICIOUS. Full of cinnamon flavor. The Birria was good, lots of herbs and not just broth. I have to shout out to their salsa too ! Another thing we’re picky about from SATX. My wife got crunch wrap, which we are NOT familiar with however, it was SO good. Chat GPT said you really can’t go wrong here, and it’s true, you really can’t. Order anything and you’re going to love it! Great job guys! Keep it up!

Carrera’s Tacos was hands down the BEST food I had in Denver. The customer service was straight love from the moment I walked in. I ordered the RELLENO with steak—fried Oaxaca-stuffed poblano, crema, beans, rice, and cheese—and it was unreal. Every bite was packed with flavor. When the cashier overheard that it was my birthday, they surprised me with a strawberry horchata. Muy delicioso. Food with heart always hits different.

The crunch wrap was amazing! Great portion of beef in it, the California burrito doesn’t get a 5/5 because it mainly was all French fries and lacked protein (in this case chicken) that I ordered and barely any in it but lots and lots of French fries. The staff was friendly, place was clean, and the Spanish music was loud creating a fun date night to eat and enjoy!

Phenomenal flavors from this west coast style burrito spot. Absolutely spot on. Carnitas bowl and the smothered Cali burrito pictured here spectacular. The burrito was as large as a baby. Don’t miss this spot. They now serve breakfast as well.

The music is always a bit loud for me, so I typically prefer to eat at the tables outside when the weather affords it.

Being from San Diego, I am a TOUGH Mexican food critic especially when it comes to casual taco shops. I’ve been relentlessly let down by the options in Denver, especially in regard to burritos, but this place was amazing. I wouldn’t say their California burrito is comparable to a San Diego Rigoberto’s or Ortiz’s (iykyk) but it was definitely good. Their fish tacos were amazing!!! Reminded me of the fish taco especial at Rubio’s. Definitely come!

First off parking was difficult at 5pm on a Saturday. Beer garden place here takes up all the parking. Small dining area with a few tables and counter seats. Staff were friendly and the food was good. Was a little more salty than I was expecting. Portion was decent for the cost. Had the asada burrito with green shili and cheese and was $18 before tip. Will try some tacos next time.

Great value for amazing food — Items on the menu are ticketed higher than typical restaurants but the portions are huge! Highly recommend the crunch wrap and the chile relleno burrito. Can’t want to come back!

Being someone who travels back and forth from california to colorado , this place is okay. I called on the phone to see if I could take a large party over there.The phone was answered and I was put on hold, the female never came back. My family decided to go somewhere else. I drove there. There’s never parking. But the good news is , for every dollar you spend you get points. But if you don’t use those points in a short amount of time , you lose them. I order 4 crunchy tacos, a little over$22. The limes and radishes are never fresh. These are on the side of whatever plate they give you. Manager doesn’t smile. The the tacos used to hold more, now they seem smaller and thinner. But everything tastes okay. Tacos basically have protein,lettuce, cheese. You get three sauces , green , red and cheese. A little overpriced. Decent atmosphere. No shade, just being honest.

Just had the best breakfast burrito I’ve ever had. To say it was massive is an understatement. Made to order with high quality fresh ingredients. I had the steak and egg burrito. Jammed packed with thinly sliced steak, fresh avocado, eggs, tater tots and more.
