We tried Carol’s for the first time and loved it! Food was delicious and we loved sitting over the water. Our waitress, Vanessa, was so sweet and attentive. There is no signage on Route 46 for the restaurant so be careful you don’t just pass by Budd Lake and miss the side street it’s on! BYOB.

I had an unforgettable dining experience at Carol’s on the Water. The waitstaff was not only amazing but also attentive and welcoming, adding to the overall enjoyment of the evening. The food was simply incredible, with the Thai wings being a standout dish that I couldn’t get enough of. My daughter’s favorite, and my close second, was the special appetizer, arancini.
And of course the view of the lake, which somehow surprised me with how breathtaking it was. Being on the deck makes you feel like you’re in the middle of the lake.
I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a great meal with a fantastic ambiance.

I enjoyed some aspects of this restaurant but not others. It was hard to find a parking spot. The atmosphere was very nice and friendly staff. They seem to have a lot of fried food which I personally can’t eat too much of.. and the grilled chicken was thin and dry. The wait time for our meals was long despite not being too busy.

The location and view are nice. They didn’t have the Mediterranean platter that is on the menu. The calamari was okay and seemed to be a half serving of what you’d get at other restaurants. The Greek fries were meh. The fries were good in terms of fries, but I wouldn’t consider them Greek. We also got the buffalo wings which were a bit pricey, these were okay as well. The best part was probably the view and the waitress was nice.

The staff greeted us with genuine smiles and a level of professionalism that made us feel like valued guests from the start. The patio is a MUST SEE! Omg that view is stunning! The menu offered a delightful array of options, showcasing both classic dishes and innovative creations. I decided to start with the Carols crab fries, which was a perfect blend of flavors and textures. It was phenomenal! I truly love it here and plus BYOB, who doesn’t love that!

literally the worst place i have ever been. food is awful and over priced. staff doesn’t know what is or isn’t out of stock. pretty much every item i tried to order they didn’t have. once i ordered something they actually had it took forever to come out, even tho it wasn’t busy. this place is a joke. take you’re buisness somewhere else. would give 0 stars.

I can’t recommend this place at this time. There were several items that we wanted to order from the menu but then was told they weren’t available. I placed an order for the crabcake sandwich and after waiting 45 minutes for our food to come, I was told that they didn’t have any crabcakes and I would have to pick something else. Meanwhile, mostly everyone else had their food. When my replacement meal arrived, which was the chicken Panini, the chicken was fried so much that it was like a piece of cardboard. I know this is a new restaurant, but I will not be going back to give it another chance.
