If you like that Home-Cooking, Soul-Food, Southern-Comfort type meal this is definitely the place for you! This was truly the best food we’ve had at a restaurant ever. It was simply delicious!! I cannot recommend this place enough. If you see this place, stop by and grab a meal. You will not be disappointed and you get SO much food for the price!!

Definitely some good comfort food! The jerk chicken was the most tenderest chicken I’ve had in a while. The yams were yammin! The Mac-n-cheese can compete with some of the best. The lemonade was bussssssiiinnnn! Definitely had to double back for seconds. Also got the fish and chips for the kid. You will have to be your own judge of the greens. They were cut a little too large for my taste but they did have a good taste. Would definitely recommend and try again.

Mac & Cheese is out of this world! Wear comfy shoes because you’ll be standing in line for a while. But if the line is long, you know the food is good!

I just get there sides which are delicious. I got mac and cheese ,collard greens , yams and potato salad . There fried chicken looks good I may try it next time. They also have baby back ribs I want to try. The young people who work there are very nice and respectful. Will be going there for Thanksgiving so I don’t have to cook sides. I gave a four food because I never had there meats.

Ordered from this location on 4/14/23 — not only did they give me fried shrimp in place of the wings and forgot the yams of our second order — I wanted 30 mins to be ready for as I’m eating plastic was cooked/mixed in to my Mac & cheese. Disgusting location – definitely calling the health department on Monday to report this! Can’t believe that for the wait, our order was wrong, plastic was in my food and an item was missing. 3/3 with mistakes and 0/10 for cleanliness.

A friend recommended me that I try this place. Sit down dining is not available, take out only. There is a line inside, but it moves quickly. They food is laid out behind the counter, and you can see what’s available. It set up like a moving line. If you want something on the menu that’s not currently there, you will have to wait 20-30. minutes for them to make it. The baby back ribs for example were not available at the time. The Smoothered Pork Chops are a good choice. Make sure you ask for gravy on the side, because they will drown the gravy, and it will be all over in your carton. Make sure they give it to you because they almost forgot. The food was good. I just have this thing about food being on the menu, and it’s not available. I asked for three different desserts, and they were not available. So why even have it on the menu then? Other than that, the food was very good, and seasoned well.

First, we ordered the whiting meal and a kids’ fish and chips meal. I would not recommend either, the fish or the fish and chips. The fish and chips are Gordon’s fish sticks straight out of your local market’s freezer. I was expecting more since you have to wait for it and it is priced pretty high for a kids meal.

Stopped here right before the Beyonce concert. Because we called ahead, we were able to get our food pretty quickly, but the line was pretty long for those who didn’t. When we got our food, the helpings were a good portion, but the way they packaged the food was a bit messy. The yams and juice from the greens were dripping all in the bottom of the bag. I ordered the fried catfish, yams, and greens. The cornbread was delicious like cake, and greens were AMAZING with the Turkey. Yams were a bit sweet for my liking but still tasty and the fish breading was good, not necessarily the actual meat of the fish. My friends got the ribs and the Mac and cheese and they were delicious. Mac and cheese was top notch cheesy goodness and the sauce for the ribs was sweet and savory.

I didn’t care for this location at all. We left my wallet in our parked vehicle about a corner block up the road. We were kind enough to let the staff know. When we came back, no one said anything. While in line, I had to ask the two that were in front of me if they were waiting to pay. (Their response was questionable). I thought maybe they placed the food with the cadhier, but they had not. They couldn’t find the order. The only cashier left the register without saying a word. So, I am standing there like a deer with headlights. Wow! She showed up and couldn’t find my husband’s order. We’ve had food from Carolina Kitchen, and this one wasn’t so good. What they called beef ribs was mostly fat. There was so much liquid from the barbecue sauce. “It was like where WAS the BEEF. I had to search for the meet, and then it had so much fat on the pieces. The collard greens were the worst I ever had and spicy (for what) OH, my goodness, the Mac and cheese was so yellow from the cheese that I couldn’t find the noodles. The only thing worth eating was the corn bread. My meal was $27, and my husband, who seemed to enjoy his food, was $23. We spent $50 on sloppy and tasteless food and drove 35 minutes from Montgomery County. Never again!
