I got the combination. Tasty and cooked right catfish and chicken fillets. Slaw and some of the best seasoned green beans I’ve had in a long time. Hush puppies and French fries make it an all you can eat plate.

Visiting from north Florida. Last week had the fried chicken dinner and the catfish basket. Had to come back and get more catfish baskets (shown in photo)! Sides of green beans, slaw, and fries were what I expected. Chicken and hush puppies were very good, but the catfish was the BEST I’ve ever had and at a very reasonable price too! The restaurant is attached to an antiques store with lots of neat stuff to look at while waiting for your food!

The fried catfish plate was amazingly DELICIOUS!!!. Cooked to perfection, not greasy at all! Sides were very good and the hush puppies that come with every dish were amazing as well!! And what a cute sit down restaurant decorated with antique diner style tables. Leave time to look around the fun antique shop attached to the dining area! I can’t wait to be back in their area and visit again!!

Can’t say enough good things about this food. The chicken is good, but the catfish is amazing. Proper hushpuppies, good fries, excellent slaw, and beans that are delicious & not overcooked. I’ll be back again and again.
P.S. – if you get the sandwich put the fries & slaw on the bun too. You can thank me later.

I heard a lady raving about the BBQ so next time I went in, I ordered it.
It was awful! The green beans and hush pups were equally terrible.

What a fun place to have lunch! The catfish, hush puppies and tartersauce are all Jimmy’s recipes. Frankie and Tammie have done a great job with Vintage Dive Bombers and Jimmy’s daughter Haley was an attentive hostess. By all means stop in. Jimmy is working out of his food truck and there’s a place to sit down inside the store. He caters, so he’s not there all the time, but catch him if you can.

We just may have to move down to Rutherfordton from Maryland so that we can enjoy these delicious dishes and the friendly owner/cook and his daughter, who serves these treats.
