The ABSOLUTE most amazing delicious food! If I could give 10 stars for taste I would. If you are looking for good down home cooking, stop here. Barbecue is good but the eye opener can be any of the other Scrumpshus possibilities. There is a great variety of food on the buffet as well as the menu. Friendly staff and the price of the buffet drives it home. What a bargain! Carry out food is available and catering orders.
It did get a little warm in there but as good as the food was, I’d sit on the tailgate of my truck and eat if I needed to. You are in the south. My pics don’t put a dent in the choices.

Keep your cotton picking hands off my delicious Ribs! What Deep South tradition infused with the way of the land. From white collards to the black eye peas, the table is set fo sho business! How does Texas, Kansas City BBQ compare to that of the Deep South you may ask? Well let’s just say, it’s humbling and full of generational flavor. Recipes passed down, home cooking still cooked as it was 200 years ago. Don’t try to reinvent the wheel here, it rolls perfectly fine!

The service was great, but the food..EHHH. This is not country cooking at its finest. Everything was bland and tasteless. I get it, everyone is health conscience, but I expected more. You could use Mrs dash to.give the food a little flavor. I will say the chicken was decent. I wouldn’t go back again.

Fantastic food. Pulled pork was excellent, perfect “Eastern NC” style, fried chicken was juicy, Brunswick stew was phenomenal, best black eyed peas I’ve ever tasted, out of this world turnip and collard greens, great pecan pie and sweet potato pie, fast and friendly service. I’ll be back!!!! Apologies to “Ralph’s” but this place is better.

Never ate here before. Chose this place because it was a buffet and I needed to eat quickly and be on my way. I was totally surprised with the variety of food on the buffet, both meat and vegatables. Tender baby back ribs and beef ribs, fried chicken and more. Best barbeque I’ve had – clean, tender, moist, and sauced to perfection. Veggies were cooled southern style and were very tasty. Huge salad bar and big choice of deserts. Pecan pie was devine. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal.

The Carolina BBQ is the truth!!! This food was so dam good!!! We paid for a take out tray and it was a lot of good food. Staff was very friendly too. I will definitely be back!!!

Buffet style BBQ. All you can eat for $17 pp. As with any buffet some of the food is very good, some not. Salad, salmon, chicken and cornbread were good! Pulled pork was very smokey, brisket was not great. I did appreciate that they did not load meats with bbq sauce. The staff did a great job tending to the buffet. Our server was very nice and came by often to fill drinks and check on us.

The food and service was very mediocre they were not prepared for our family size even though we called ahead the food was not listed so you really didn’t know what you were getting into. The server was rude and rushed the entire process.

Definitely some of the best Southern/Soul Food I’ve ever had! Amazing variety on the buffet and the staff is awesome! I’m in town driving clients, but when I return I will definitely be coming back here to eat!!!

Arrived Sunday morning when they opened and was a bit disappointed. It was my first time visiting. Let me say the staff was very nice and accommodating. First thing I noticed was our shoes was sticking to the rug around the table and on our way to the buffet. The food was fried quite a bit to much, fish, oysters, and crabcakes. Steamed shrimp, very good but barely warm. The bbq and slaw was awesome! Salad and dessert bar was very good. Will I visit again when I’m in the area? I may give it a try to see if it’s improved. Maybe they had a new cook. Please have the rugs cleaned.
