I went to Carolina Ale House a while back when my son was in school. I enjoyed it, so while in Summerville Saturday, I decided to try them again. I’m happy I went. Even though it has a sports bar feel, it also has a family friendly vibe. I went alone and enjoyed the experience. The football game kept me occupied. My server’s name was Taylor. She was very attentive and accommodating. As a former server, I always appreciate great service! I selected the try 2 combo – 1/2 rack of ribs with fried shrimp. It comes with Cole slaw and fries, but I substituted a Caesar salad for the slaw for a $2 up charge. I also had a domestic beer (Miller Lite). My bill without the tip was less than $30. I will definitely be going back with and without company. Sometimes you need some “me” time!

I’m being generous with 3 stars. First time ordering from here and I placed a to go order for the blue cheese buffalo chips. There’s no photo of what they look like on the online menu so I wasn’t sure what to expect but I definitely think something was missing. The description says a blue cheese sauce along with blue cheese crumbles and there was definitely no sauce and there wasn’t much blue cheese crumbles. I’m a big cheese fan so that’s the reason why I ordered this – was disappointed as far as not a lot of blue cheese – no blue cheese sauce, not even like a blue cheese dressing and I waited upfront for a little while for the host to come back and then she told me to go to the bar to pick up my to go order. I actually came about 10 minutes earlier than the online order said they would be ready and it was sitting there cold – I didn’t get a “your food os ready” alert. The ambience inside was very cool, perfect sports bar vibe. Unfortunately the appetizer was disappointing – they didn’t even chop the chicken well so the chicken to chip ratio was way off. Tasted OK.

This was my first time to Carolina Ale House! I must say that I was very pleased with my experience here! Our waitress was really nice and optimistic! Then the food was amazing! The fried wings, cheesburger, and fries tasted so good!

Our male waiter was so nice and attentive to our needs. The food was excellent as usual. I had the cheese curds (love them) broccoli, pub friends, (hot and crispy, aged ribeye (med. rare) was cooked perfect and seasoned well! Keep up the great service and preparation of the food. Consistency in food and service is valuable to returning customers. I did not take pictures unfortunately.

I ordered a rare 12oz ribeye with side salad and broccoli, when it arrived it was still hot, not fresh off the grill piping hot. But hot enough to eat and wasnt under a heat lamp, everything was seasoned perfectly, I expected the steak to cook a bit because the heat of the to go box, bit it didnt cook that much more witch is amazing! 10/10 highly recommend! Steak wasnt fatty as a ribeye usually is in my personal opinion, the broccoli was perfectly cooked and seasoned it wasnt mushy and soggy .. just moved from NH and tried alot of places and this is BY FAR the best of all the food ive tried in SC so far !! Ive worked in kitchens my whole life, great job kitchen staff

We had a nice experience at Carolina Ale House and would definitely come back. The kids were happy with their meals, especially the pizza, and it was great that fruit was an option too. For the adults, the burger and steak were both really good—well cooked, flavorful, and filling. The atmosphere was lively but still comfortable for a family meal. Service was solid, though things felt a little busy at times. Overall, a good spot for both kids and adults, with something on the menu for everyone.

The best Alfredo ever!! I don’t know if carilina is known for the best food ever or what, but I know I Minnesota, your not going to find anything CLOSE to this it’s so good! Even the fried pickles were fried to perfection ! The fish was a known flavor when you took a bite, the beans were good, and the broccoli, oh I don’t even know what to say, IDK how they cooked it that good, but boy it was good. THERE WAS NO LEFTOVERS.

Had the most tender, juiciest burger I’ve had in a long time. I can’t stop thinking about it! It was brought out fresh on a brioche bun with lettuce, pickles, and if you want raw onions they’re 75¢ extra (annoying as I didn’t know until receiving the check -_- )
Fried pickles were breaded lightly and not too salty, which I am usually worried about.
Sarah was very attentive and sweet. Made sure we had everything we needed.

Stopped into Carolina Ale House recently and had a really solid experience. It’s the kind of place that works well whether you’re meeting friends to watch a game or just grabbing a casual dinner. The atmosphere is lively but still comfortable, and there’s plenty of seating so it doesn’t feel cramped.
The food was better than expected for a sports bar — I went with a burger and wings, and both came out hot and full of flavor. Portions were generous, and the menu has a lot of options if you’re with a group and everyone wants something different. The beer selection was also a big plus, with plenty of choices on tap.
Service was friendly and checked in just enough without being overbearing. I’m giving four stars because it did take a little while to get our food during a busy time, but overall everything was worth the wait. I’d definitely come back again for the food, drinks, and laid-back vibe.
