I wish I could give more than five stars! The service by Heather was impeccable. Attentive but not overbearing. I had the french onion smash burger, which is on special right now and hubby had the pub burger. I had a Wicked Weed Twist draft beer, and husband had the Kona Big Wave Golden ale. Both were worth a try.

Heather is one of the greatest people in the F&B industry. She is always polite, knowledgeable, and offers the greatest customer service. I have been coming to the Carolina Alehouse for almost 20 years and have seen Heather at the Carolina Alehouse for a great deal of the years that I’ve been coming and she’s always great! In my line of customer service for the last 26 years, I feel that I have gained enough knowledge to no real customer service when I see it. Heather has everything it takes, and she would’ve a value to any corporation or business.

Our server for the night was Bryan, and I have to say this was hands down our best visit yet to Carolina Ale House. We’ve been here countless times, but tonight truly stood out.
Aside from Sway, the bartender who is always on point with customer service and professionalism, Bryan absolutely delivered an exceptional experience. The energy, attentiveness, and overall vibe were unmatched.

I used to like the alw house but their food has went way down in taste and quality but up.im price. My server was great. They need to do better. It was no wonder they were almost empty at 6pm the day we visited.

I had an awesome salad and my husband and new hot honey sausage and pepper pasta. They were delicious and am awesome improvement for this Ale House. Another great change is the add of Terry (Lucas) to the wait staff! He was all over with great service, from keeping our drinks filled, to making sure we got what we wanted and how we wanted! We made sure to tip accordingly!

!!! Avoid this place at all cost!!! Pun intended. Charge me 18% percent gratuity even though I finish my food before 10pm. The charge me $4 extra dollars on top of the gratuity tip. Smh….now I see why this place is empty these days. Oh the food was trash too! But the Bud light was awesome!

My Cobb salad was ENORMOUS with all fresh ingredients. The blue cheese dressing was full of chunky blue cheese. They make all their dressings in house. My buddy had the AMAZING western double smash burger. I felt like he had entered some kind of food challenge when saw it. The food was great. Koodos to the cooks! Our bartender / waitress, Chioma was very polite, made sure we had a drink at all times, and was up for conversation. Every where you look was a flat screen with any sport you’re for your fix. If you’re in Durham, you gotta come in, grab a bite, a drink, and good conversation. Thanks guys! I will be back.
