I recently had the pleasure of visiting a highly recommended Mexican restaurant in Reno while on a business trip. Upon being seated, I was immediately presented with complimentary chips and salsa. I inquired about their most popular dish and decided to try the Quesatorta, which proved to be an excellent choice and very satisfying. The value for the price was exceptional. The service I received during my Wednesday 1 PM lunch was outstanding. I was also impressed by the vibrant and appropriate decor. I certainly plan to return.

I had the Carne en Su Jugo and it was not good at all. 3 out of 10 and that is being generous. The carne en su jugo lacked flavor as well as a.sode of rice and cilantro. However my son had the chimichanga and he said he liked it and rated it 7 out of 10. The restaurant has plenty of seating and is big enough for large quantities of people.

I ask the waitress about there buche was made daily, she proceeded to tell the make it daily I ordered 2 mix tacos the carnival, a burrito de buche the meat was hard as a rock and salty the meat was cold and didn’t taste freshly made, people that know about carnitas can tell the difference. I left completely disappointed on the quality of the food.

The food? Absolutely amazing. Every dish tasted homemade and authentic, like something lovingly passed down through generations. I highly recommend the torta ahogada and tacos de canasta perfectly seasoned and full of flavor.

Everything is quite good, the only “bad thing” is we felt guacamole is way too less for the price

This is a pretty popular place for lunch around 1:00pm with the Mexican crowds. I walked in and felt like I was back home in Texas or Arizona with so many Hispanic customers dining in.
The entrance however is tricky, the business has 2 doors one is locked and has a sign saying to use the other door the one that’s unlocked is closer to the entry from Moana Ln, I entered from Kietzke Ln which is the view from the images and walked around the corner to the unlocked door.

There wasn’t a waitress standing at the entry to sit people, so I just walked to the counter and ordered my drink they’re serving champurrado during this chilly season, and it’s tasty, the price is reasonable. Customer service is okay for a busy little restaurant (as you can see I was the 77th customer)! Took about 5 minutes to get my drink, so not too bad for my only order.

Nothing but good things to say about this place. Phenomenal food and service and reasonable prices. Don’t let the exterior for you. It’s not bad. It’s just in a little strip mall corner, but we will definitely be coming back 10/10 server
