I went to Chicago from Missouri, just to try the CARNITAS because we seen a show on Netflix showcasing this place, I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED the CARNITAS were just like we have in California…the ambience and the smell in the restaurant reminded me of east L.A. restaurants….the taste and the the portions were phenomenal …there’s soo much meat in the tacos, that’s its soo fulfilling… 2 tacos put me out they were FATTY and all the condiments were provided also, cilantro, onions,& limes….the horchata was also delicious and tasted like I was back in cali..AUTHENTIC ✊

Wonderful authentic Mexican food. Everything- really everything was delicious. We spent over $100 trying a little of everything on the menu and there wasn’t a thing the family didn’t like. The only thing we didn’t love was their take on tamales. They were very dense and very VERY dry. We had to soak them in salsa to enjoy them. The carnitas of course was out of this world.

Well first time here and I loved it the people workers tend to everyone even if it’s not there table and I got refills when needed. Such great service even dancing to the music the waitresses makes you feel comfortable. The food is really good so I do say check it out it’s a must try . There is one thing I really look for in a resturant and that’s the coffee and let me tell you I have never had coffee with cinnamon and it was the best for me I loved it I will be back for sure…

I heard of this place through Netflix, and I’ve been visiting chicago for the longest time. I’m glad I’ve found this place the tacos are so good and very full. We arrived an hour before it was gonna close so there wasn’t much carnitas left. At this location it’s only for pick up and I heard they also have a sit in place. As for their tacos, I usually eat 3-4 tacos but this places surprised me and I was only able to eat 2 because they were full of so much carnitas. And their salsa rojo was amazing too definitely paired with the carnitas. The owner of this place definitely is part of the experience, very kind and welcoming as well as the workers there!

Revision: these are probably the best carnitas in all of Chicago. Each taco is packed with fatty, salty and tender carnita parts from the pig. The price point is excellent for the amount you get. All the toppings are also included.
