This place Carnitas Mi Rancho is delicious authentic Mexican Food. Carnitas is the Michoacán staple and this restaurant nails it. You can order by the pound, tacos, or by a family meal. They offer a variety of aguas frescas, Jarritos, and beer. If you are in the area or passing by it is worth taking the detour to sample the finest Carnitas.

2023Went on Sunday for the 1st time. Very impressed that although the line was long we received our food in less than 10 minutes. Extra points for the festive decor and ambiance. I felt like I was in East los angeles mercadito. Clean. Although I would recommend not sweeping or spraying tables while patrons are eating gas it lifts up dust and the smell of the spray ruins the dining experience.

10 out of 10 recommend. Tacos are huge and over filled with meat. Staff is very courteous. Restaurant atmosphere is is super cute. I am digging the vibe.

I visited this place after eating two tacos my mom brought me from here. When I visited this place there was a what i would call a long line. Although line was long they do a great job at getting you out of there as soon as possible. It is decorated in a way that would remind me of going to a traditional Mexican restaurant. I didn’t actually eat there but bought for take out.
This place specializes in carnitas and I bought carnitas tacos. Please keep in mind that two tacos will fill you up as they are very generous with the portions of carnitas and the tortilla is fairly big. The carnitas are so delicious and not greasy and this is coming from a guy that normally never orders carnitas. I was greatly impressed that both times I have been there although fairly long lines, I was out in no time. Good going Carnitas El Rey.

Carnitas heaven. The best carnitas in the County of Ventura. Tender, perfectly seasoned. Their picked onions with habanero and green salsa completes a beautiful food experience. And great service too.

Is this place not making homemade salsa anymore??? Got the 1lb combo, and I asked for green salsa for my combo, and they gave me two bags of red salsa and one green salsa bag and they also forgot to give me my pico de gallo salsa. I’m not sure I’ll be back to this place. Better place in Oxnard than here with homemade salsa and won’t make a mistake on your order.
:::Update::: Salsa does not taste the same when packaged. Also, they forgot my pico de gallo, and I asked for green salsa only, but instead they gave me 2 PACKAGE red salsa and 1 PACKAGED green salsa. Employees need to pay more attention to the orders.
