There are only two words to describe the food here ” Freaking Amazing” ! Wait staff are great . Friendly and attentive . The barracuda tacos are tender and juicy . Plenty of meat to make two tacos out of one . Carnitas had a beautiful smoked flavor and taste . The menudo had strands and chunks of shredded beef in it . Muy sabroso ! I look forward to going back and trying other dishes and some of their drinks .

Food was great! Service was awesome as well. I ordered a torta with their famous carnitas, my husband got the carnitas as a meal. They also have a back area that’s lit and offers some insulation so you’re not completely outdoors. Quant overall, I’d suggest bringing something warm (for the season) as there’s a draft and the seats are made a metal. Great prices; the mango margarita is made from scratch.. Very well crafted! I ended up drinking all of mine and my husband’s!

The Carnitas…are the bomb! The rice n beans…basic n unflavored…flautas were burnt…not really full or flavorful…the salsa and chips were amazing…and the two ladies working in there were amazing! Great customer service! Oh yeah that Mango Margarita…definitely worth the money!!!

The drinks were strong which is the way I like it for my money’s worth and the food was so good … meat was juicy and thick… I always order the chefs special online but just recently went in to eat and tried a taco dinner and all I can say it’s worth the trip and the money…. #TeamRafa

I would say best carnitas in Chicago, I’ve been here multiple times and the food tastes like your mom or grandma whipped it up in the back. Food was the best every time never dropped on quality and the staff was always nice ♥️
