Hello, my name is Jonathan. I’m from Mr. Costello’s class and I’m writing this to say that thank you for the food that you gave to us during the taco day we had a few weeks ago. Sadly, I didn’t get to eat any food because now i didn’t have much of an appetite, but from what I saw from other students that ate the food, they seemed to enjoy it very much. Having different food from the usual cafeteria food the school provides, it really changed the mood into a pretty cheerful day as classmates happily ate the food provided by you and others. Hannah, with your support, the food was able to last for almost the whole duration of the school day even though most students couldn’t contribute toward the food financially because they didn’t have much money to contribute to. Also, with your food it feeds not only students but teachers that happened to come by the classroom and get a bite of the food. Even though you didn’t have to give us a lot more food than ordered and discounted, it was greatly appreciated by all.

I was expecting more from this place, unfortunately I was highly disappointed. I ordered carnitas, because that’s their specialty. But I was packed steak tacos, not the carnitas I paid for. The Steak Burrito was okay, just lacked key ingredients to make it a great burrito. Also the Horchata don’t taste like it’s made from scratch. I was again disappointed by the chicken quesadillas, that I asked for grilled chicken and cheese, not even that simplicity could they get right. They packed a quesadilla with a premixed of chicken for Tinga. $60 dollars worth of disappointments…..

Carnitas are great here, don’t get me wrong, but the price I think is a little too much. They got the name already, but I think it was too much. I ordered 3 carnitas tacos with handmade tortillas, one al pastor torta and one large Agua de Jamaica. I paid $35, honestly too much considering all the options around. I’ll probably just get the meat next time (outstanding) and will get the rest myself. Go try the carnitas!

I’ve dined in once but have picked up food to go. Food always taste amazing. And the one time I ate inside the service was fine. It’s really small sitting area. And it’s more of a go get the food from the counter once they call you up and once you’re done you pay at the counter. There’s like maybe a handful of tables to sit at. The person that took my order was very nice and pleasant. Would definitely recommend this place.

Carnitas Don Alfredo in Melrose Park is an absolute taco gem of Melrose Park that I just can’t stop raving about. The moment you get close, you’re hit with this incredible mix of slow-cooked pork, and a hint of smoky spice that instantly makes your mouth water.

I grabbed a few tacos and—wow—the handmade corn tortillas were warm and fresh, cradling heaping portions of perfectly tender carnitas that had just the right amount of crispy edges. Each bite was a mix of rich, savory pork, sprinkled with finely chopped onions and cilantro that added a fresh, zingy kick. And of course, a squirt of lime was a must—it tied everything together like magic.

Whats great is you can get a handful of the handmade tortillas by themselves for like 2.50…perfect for my breakfast tacos I made the next day 😀

Everyone was super nice, they had a heated outdoor seating, you could eat at the counter inside which I thought was nice for someone on the go, with a self serve coffee station, likely a god send for the breakfast crowed that comes in. This stand is a must-visit—it’s an authentic, colorful slice of what Melrose Park has to offer in terms of perfect Mexican food that just hits the spot every time.

This was a nice little hole in the wall we came across ..
Parking is very difficult to go in , Difficult to find a parking space ,
((Specially if your driving a truck or hauling a trailer ))
cute plaza alot to chose from But No parking and you really can’t park across the street ..
The restaurant is very small ,
!!!No Restrooms keep that in mind !!!!
Everything is charged separately here.
But!!! I have to say the food is very delicious, The best thing about this Little little restaurant is it’s The authentic Mexican Flavor!! .. ( Not Tex Mex / Not American blend ) … You won’t be disappointed if you like that authentic flavor.
