I waited to rate this place because I didn’t want to leave a bad review… but also think my experience needs to be noted. First let me start by saying that I am spoiled, I am from Houston which has one of the most diverse and authentic Mexican and Tex Mex food. I also get really great Mexican food from my mom so I am a little bias. I just can’t recommend this place. The caldo de camarón – I have never in my life seen broccoli in the caldo. Literally that is all it had broccoli and shrimp. Even the caldo was like water down. I ate it because I was hungry and paid close to $20 bucks for this. My hubby had the Chile relleno and I was taken back when the menu online said a different price and then got charged like 25 bucks for them. He says they were good but I don’t trust him. He literally eats anything and dumps a whole bottle of hot sauce. The only good thing was the beans. Maybe just order beans, but I am sure they will charge you an arm and a leg. Don’t get me wrong I am okay with paying $30/plate if it’s gourmet and delicious… this was not one or the other. I do want to note that the lady at the counter was very nice and reduced the price of the Chile rellenos when I looked confused about the total charges.

Service was great. Waitress was really tentative and nice however the food was pricey. Meal for two plus two pineapple waters cost over $70.

It was good but in some thing it was not so good. For example the green Chile they used on the Cielo Mar y tierra molcajete was not that good. Would have loved if they used Barcelona of cheese on that molcajete plate. Ceviche was alright. Fajitas had to much vegetables and little meat to my taste. Waiter did amazing. Last thing the frijoles charroz were really good.

We went for a birthday dinner and it was wonderful. They made sure we had plenty of room and let us take our time. It is a relaxed atmosphere with beautiful traditional decor.
The portions are huge. You never leave hungry. The dishes are presented beautifully and with colorful blends of aromatic spices and herbs. We have loved every dish we have tried.
The staff was friendly and attentive. They are short staffed like so many business right now, but did their best to accommodate us and we enjoyed our meal.

Got seated and a lady brought chips and salsa. Waited for someone to get drinks or order and no one in sight. Finished chips and still no one. Customer at counter trying to find someone and he couldn’t get service either. Ended up walking out after 30 minutes.

If I could this place ZERO stars I would. ME and my family pulled in the parking lot on the assumption this place was closer because it was so empty. We walked in to yet another empty room, no one around. We rang the bell and we were greeted and seated. We were brought chips that were not fully cooked, and when we asked if we could have a fresh basket, mind you, we approached the server incredibly polite and know what we were told? we were told NO. we thought we would give this place a chance because the reviews seemed OK but we were SO WRONG. your customers tell you the chips you served are UNCOOKED and chewy and request new ones and you say no? We were shocked. No wonder this place was empty! Never again.

Food was delicious. Everyone must think so, too. We got there just in time before the crowd got there.
