It was decent food but very pricey. For a 3 taco meal just for myself I paid $23 I was shook. The flavor made up for it but for this being a a lil corner spot by university should be more affordable.

One of the best italian beefs in the City. They pack a lot of meat in this sandwich and super flavorful. It has nice peppery taste which compliments their hot giardeneria. Across the street ffom Fontanas, you can stop into 2 of Little Italy’s fine establishments in one trip.

So juicy it was completely disintegratingly unmanageable, heaps of tender wafer-thin beef in a toothsome jus with celery slivers, hot roasted peppers, onion and celery salt. Completely delicious. Washed down with brain-freezingly cold lemon and strawberry sorbets. Great flavors, great value

This by far is the worst representation of a Chicago Style Italian Beef!!! The flavor was bland & the meat was chewy. They put little to hot peppers and it was dry when I asked for it to be well dipped. Not to mention that I didn’t get the two pieces of cheese that I paid for!!! BASICALLY a BAD BEEF!!!

Staying in the area for a few days and came across Carms. We went in and had a few different. Items and everything was good. The homemade italian ices was a nice finish.
Personally I had the dipped italian beef sandwich with (very) spicy peppers. Thought it was full of flavor.

Outstanding Chicago Dog, double cheeseburger, and fries. The Italian Ice was old school and delicious. Great staff and full of friendly customers. Established in Little Italy in 1929!

Carm’s Beef and Italian Ice is a nice local spot with classic Chicago flavors. The beef sandwiches are tasty and satisfying, and the Italian ice is refreshing with several good flavors to choose from. The portions are decent and prices are reasonable. It’s a casual place with simple service, making it a good choice if you’re craving a quick bite or a sweet treat.

Tasty, flavorful, and I really liked the perfectly seasoned peppers and celery on top. I had asked for my sandwich to come dry, but they served it wet (dipped) instead. Not a deal breaker, as it was still really good.
Horchata Italian ice was also really refreshing.
They accept credit cards but with a $5 minimum purchase… Italian ice is cash only!
