I am in the area and did not want to travel far. This was a very pleasant surprise. I was expecting a local bar with limited menu, but that was not the case. They have a full menu with daily and seasonal specials, as well as a wide selection of beers, wines, and cocktails. I had the ahi tuna, green beans and a Chardonnay! The atmosphere is pleasant and the service excellent!

My wife and I enjoyed dinner at Carmody’s Grille in November 2025. We were there on a Monday evening, and there were lots of customers. I had had the Prime Rib special and my wife had a chicken salad. We both loved our meals, our server, and the atmosphere of this place.

Very nice clean place. Reasonable priced for the quality of food. They have a octoberfest menu. I got the breaded veal in a mushroom gravy. It was good but the fresh potato cakes and kruat and red cabbage stole the show. It was delicious!

This place is a gem and a must go to. Drive the distance, whatever it takes. Beer was cold, food was so flavorful. I had the Reuben and it was the best one I’ve ever had.. and I’m from Chicago. If you’re like me and like the toasted marble rye bread (a must) and flavorful corned beef with little fat, this is the place. The fries were fresh and I got a side of their coleslaw. It was the perfect add on. Came in for a quick business trip and this was a total shot in the dark but it worked out! Also tried the ooey gooey cake dessert. A must! I’ll fly back just to eat here. Keep it up.

Had not been there in years but decided on a late afternoon dinner for fish on the first Friday of Lent. Had to start with their zucchini, which was excellent. Wife had fish tacos and I had a fish sandwich, both with fries. Tacos and sandwich were delicious. Service was good and overall a positive experience. We’ll be back soon.

I was in Pittsburgh for the Steelers vs Colts game along with three others. We stayed on Neville Island, which we had never heard of previously. Food options near the hotel were limited, as it’s generally an industrial area. My friend’s wife asked the receptionist at about food options, and he recommended Carmody’s Grille.

We arrived at 8:00 PM and were promptly seated. For appetizers, we ordered potato pancakes and fried pickles. I’m not big on appetizers but had a sample, and both were tasty.

I ordered a grilled chicken salad with blue cheese dressing. The portion was enough to fill me up, and the chicken was perfectly cooked. My friends ordered the prime rib sandwich, steak blend burger and chicken and waffles. Everyone enjoyed their dinner.

The service was great, parking is relatively painless, and TVs are abundant. Each bill was ~$30-$35 after 1-2 drinks. We’ll remember this place if we’re ever back there again.

A true hidden gem. You’d likely miss it if you weren’t looking for it, but the interior is modern, updated, and has a great layout. The menu is far more elevated than you’d expect—the food and service were both fantastic. Definitely coming back!

wow! My wife and I were looking for somewhere good to go on a cold winter night. She suggested Carmody’s Grille. The fried zucchini was fabulous. My wife got the chicken salad. And I got the chili and the smothered chicken. It smothered chicken had a great sauce on it. We finished up with a brown butter cake? It was flantastic. Nadne was a great server and made our visit special.

What a wonderful surprise. Our server Marley was so kind and provided excellent recommendations. The beet and goat cheese salad was fantastic. The fried goat cheese was something new and added a nice crunch. The meatloaf special was a perfect rainy day comfort meal. And… we had the incredible Brown Butter Cake to finish things off. Perfect amount of buttery sweet goodness. It looked so good we forgot to take a picture before we started but clearly we liked it. Highly recommended!

At first we were greeted politely by the host and the server. After that it was pretty disappointing. We ordered the pub fries as an app with our drinks and did not receive it until about 10 mins after our food. I felt pressured to order since the server asked us what we wanted about 5x and we kept saying not yet not yet. I ended up just picking something that looked good which was the bals chx flatbread. My bf got the hot sausage sandwich and upgraded to the “onions rings”. They’re pictured and those speak for themselves. We asked the server for fries instead bc they were grease rings. I had to ask for them to be taken off the bill. After not getting our fries for literally 35 mins on a slow Monday afternoon, getting raw greasy rings of onion, and no basil on my 3 ingredient flatbread, I felt a manager or at least the server would show or have some type of apologetic gesture but he did not seem to care. He wanted our order and our payment and that’s it, staff maybe need more direction. I wondered how it took so long for me to find this place since it’s right up the street, and after this experience I wish I had left it undiscovered.
