Tampa is known for its deviled crabs, and Carmine’s does them right. From the first bite, you can tell they don’t skimp on the good stuff. These are packed with fresh blue crab meat—real, generous chunks that are seasoned perfectly and held together just enough to let the crab shine. Crispy on the outside, tender and flavorful on the inside, every bite tastes like a tribute to Tampa’s seafood roots. No fillers stealing the spotlight—just quality crab and bold flavor.

Beyond the food, the service at Carmine’s stands out. The staff is welcoming, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure you enjoy your meal. They’re knowledgeable about the menu, quick to check in, and create an atmosphere that feels both comfortable and polished.

It was a little hot inside the restaurant but it didn’t take away from service or food flavors! Tried the meatballs and bruschetta for appetizers also the deviled crab which was amazing it’s basically a crab croquette so yummy. For main I had the Cuban sandwich and it was delicious the bread was crispy but not hard so yummy!

We stopped by this Italian restaurant with a Cuban twist and everything was delicious. I had the Chicken Parmesan with a Caesar salad and an Espresso Martini — all were great. My husband ordered the Cuban sandwich and a soup, which he really enjoyed. The only thing we didn’t care for was the mango mojito, but our waiter was kind enough to replace it with a regular one. Excellent customer service and overall experience. Highly recommend if you’re in the Ybor area.

Visiting the area and was told by some locals to check this place out for authentic food. The atmosphere is very nice, very authentic and obvious they have been here for quite a few years. Bartender was very prompt and helpful, made a really good old-fashioned. Service was quick and food was very good. I will definitely be back

This review is a hard one to write. The chef was just a prince of a fellow and said hello to all patrons. Our server, Nick was so friendly and could speak 3 languages, for those that would to order in another language. The Cuban sandwich was plentiful, however, the selection of using sweet tasting ham, really threw the sandwich off. The sandwich could have been served warm, as well. The natural cut fries were perfectly cooked, and delicious.
Las Palmas still has the most authentic Cuban sandwich. Also, the sandwich at Carmine’s is served by itself, everything seemed à la cart on the menu.
The most outstanding Flan for dessert is the best in the state. Due to this restaurant being in Ybor city, it’s best to go early , like late afternoon for dinner, then be on your way.

We dined in this morning at 11am, and unfortunately this place has gone down hill. Terrible from the moment we walked in. Horrible attitude from our server even though we were the only people in restaurant an hour into it being open on a Saturday morning…the food was probably worse than the service. The chicken was disgusting. The salad was good but everything else lacked flavor and quality. Should’ve know the 4 star review was accurate to this place. Won’t be back again.

10/10. First time here was for a work lunch and I got the pan-seared palomilla steak (with mozz). I took my leftovers back to the office and forgot them, so I drove back that night to have it for dinner. The next day, I’m back here for dinner again. It’s that good. Highly recommend!

This is a Fantastic restaurant. Huge and varied menu choices. Thier Tampa Cuban is the most delicious Cuban sandwich you will ever eat. Get the beans and rice too. I only had to travel 1,000 miles from home for this extraordinarily great meal.

First time visiting Ybor City and I had to find a Cuban Sandwich. Carmine’s made it perfect. They also have a deviled crab cake that was amazing. The Rum and Coke was top notch as well. I must return and sample more of the menu! Special thanks to my waitress. I think her name was Jeanie.

I frequently visit Ybor, and this was my first time to dine here for lunch. The environment is warm and inviting. The staff was courteous and offered excellent recommendations. The Spanish bean soup was hearty and delicious.
