Absolutely amazing experience! This family owned Italian restaurant made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. The owners and staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, treating us like family.
The food was outstanding truly delicious and tasted just like homemade.
Every dish was full of flavor and clearly made with love and care.

Carmine’s of Meriden is an absolute gem. I brought my family here for dinner, everything we ordered was delicious. From the anti-past to the home made fettuccine alfredo, pizza, smash burger, to one of the best steak and stuffed shrimp I’ve ever had. My son was invited behind the counter to make his own pizza and turned out to help make our entire dinner from start to finish. A real Italian family feel, thank you Giovanni and everyone else for a great experience!!

This is my 3rd time coming to the restaurant to order pizza and food. Anna and her family are so nice and warming and it’s great to see a family that cares about the community. I have been currently eating only gluten-free pizza and I will have to say that Carmine’s has to be the best out of 6 or 7 pizza places that I have tried in town and in Wallinford. Both my wife and boys truly enjoy their meatball pizza as well. I highly recommend their food and service. Keep up the amazing job! 🙂

I’m picking up orders for DoorDash from this pizzeria always. Always late. They never been ready for any order. When I come in saying DoorDash order, they go to the printer or tablet to check what’s the order to START making it. This is actually killing me as we get paid per order not per time. Waiting on this order like 20 minutes in average is for free. They don’t understand that. Ooooofffff

Placed an order for delivery and was told it would be 45 minutes. It turned into an hour and 20 minutes. When the food came, it was ice cold. The salad that they advertised as having lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and olives was a container full of lettuce with one tomato. When we called to find out where our order was, the manager would not give her name and had an attitude. Poor service, poor quality, would never recommend this place to anyone!

Not sure if family members or employees are writing the reviews but way over exaggerated on how good the food/pizza is. sauce on pizza is beyond watery and had a weird sour taste. Way UNDERCOOKED bacon totally unacceptable and veggies cut into huge chunks. Not to mention they keep the door open so you get all kinds of bugs in your food. NOT even close to the best pizza in Meriden or anywhere for that matter. First and last time. Only thing good was the 2 liter soda. took 2 bites of the pizza and was done. NO good pizza ever comes out of this location, has changed hands more times than can remember in like 5 years.. they have Italian decor and stuff all around the shop, but that sauce was far from authentic Italian pizza sauce. I shared a slice with an Italian with family roots from Rome, she found the sauce mediocre at best. ALSO LONG WAIT TIME ad still ended up with UNDERCOOKED BACON..

Very solid pizza! If tou like a nice well done pizza with excellent cheese, this may be for you. Its a thinner crust, but not super thin pizza. There is no crunch on this pizza. My only negative is that the under carriage is alittle tough and chewy. I absolutely loved the family dynamic of this place. The whole family is working behind the counter and in the kitchen. You can feel the love here.
