Anyone who misses the Italian delis on the North side or from the east coast probably already comes here but if you haven’t heard yet, this is THE SPOT! The Italian combo sandwich was 100% chef’s kiss, and also MASSIVE and worth the $20. They have some seating outside on the sidewalk. Would definitely come back and order a pan of food for home some day. Plus, they talk to you like family which is a real treat these days.

BEWARE! They sneakily OVERCHARGE consistently! They don’t post $ on most items (groceries/bakery)Also they don’t provide itemized receipts to customers BUT keep one for themselves. Line is typically long so by time you reach checkout they quickly ring you up and you just “trust” your grand total $ is legit. This time I asked to take a pic of my itemized receipt on their register. Lo and behold they charged me $4 fee for a deconstructed sandwich. Over charged me on my cannoli and pkg of Pizelles. Went back to clerk where she claimed they’ve ALWAYS charged a deconstructed fee although it’s not posted on their menu. And the other items she just shrugged her shoulders. She said cannoli is $7 charged me $8.99. Pizelles labeled $6.99 charged $7. A penny doesn’t irk me but compounded with the other overcharges ANNOYED! Do better Carmines! 6 out of 6 times I’ve been there been overcharged for something. Foods delish but it comes with Frustration every friggn time. Why don’t you post prices on your fridge items? Why do pastries $ inconsistent? Why unposted deconstructed sandwich fee? Shame on you for be sneaky and/or lazy!!

Amazing deli – as one who has been in MANY classic New York delis, I say this with all reverence: this is about as close as it comes outside of New York! Pastrami was awesome – tender, juicy, flavorful; just terrific! I do chuckle with some irreverence at the suggestions to add anything other than strong deli mustard – i.e. onions, peppers, mayo (mayo!? – sacrilege!). I did opt for banana slice peppers, if only for a little more zing as their deli mustard looked a little less than the heavy, rough stone ground you do find in NY. Good selection of meats, cheeses, prepared foods, small selection of good looking desserts – I got the chocolate cake cookies – excellent choice, Erik! Great service by folks with smiles and good humor. Three-four small tables if you want to eat there. Also some good options for specialty condiments and groceries Don’t miss this place!!

The place was amazing when it came to buying what you need to make italian food I was able to get proscuitto imported from Italy and it was so good though I will say its on the pricey side I ended up spending a hundred bucks for a bag full of groceries but top tier products if that’s your kind of thing.

I would give this 10 stars if it allowed me to but 5 was the max. Hole in the wall type of joint and the #4 was phenomenal and fresh from the bread to the veggies, meat and cheese. Incredible sammich. I will be back and tell everyone about this place. Grabbed some desserts to go for the fam and I’m sure they are good as well. Look to have great cuts of meat at extremely reasonable prices for a butcher. Very limited seating and was packed when stopped in for lunch on a Thursday, to-go is your best bet.

If an Italian deli sounds like a good lunch to you, I would say this one is absolutely worth driving across town for. The sandwiches are top notch, the sausage is fantastic (thanks for the sample, Carmine), and the people are wonderful. Even just the bread is enough to bring a tear to your eye, but then you swivel your head and see the deserts. Love to see a family legacy and such wonderful authentic quality. Much respect from your friends in Golden.

Probably the best sandwich I’ve ever had! I can’t believe I’ve lived here my entire life and this is the first time I’ve been in. I will definitely be back!

$50 for 2-8″ subs, a drink and a lobster tail, i was actually in shock at the register. The menu says 13.99 for a piled high turkey sandwich. Jersey mikes puts more meat then this… Everyone raves about the deli on the reviews. This was my second and last time coming here.

I’m from Yonkers NY. I’ve been in the denver metro area for work since 2017 and I’m SO FREAKIN HAPPY I finally found this deli. It’s the real deal…from the moment I walked in and got a whiff of the vinegary spicy pepper aroma…to the view of ALL the salads deserts pasteries pastas meats and cheeses they have to offer. It was my 1st visit so I’ll have to tweak my sandwich (I like lots of spicy mustard on both breads/extra oil & vinegar and hot peppers) to get it just the way I like it…but BE CLEAR….it was DELICIOUS!! Reminded me of home. Packed with spicy flavorful meats on fresh bread at a great price. I got the italian combo AND the reuben AND the godfather 2. I also got a red velvet whoopie AND a Black & white. Crazy good! The combo and the red velvet never made it out of the parking lot. I arrived about 30 minutes before closing and the entire staff…esp the cashier…was ultra friendly. This….is exactly how you deli.
HO NUOVI AMICI!

This place is amazing! Huge deli counter, lots italian groceries. But the best part in my opinion is the sandwiches. I got the Italian Combo and the Godfather. The Italian was one of the best I have had in Denver! I will be going back to try more sandwiches.
Also the service was amazing. I was greeted when I got to the counter and while I was waiting for my sandwiches to be made I was asked several times if I had been helped yet. All of the staff were very friendly!
