This has been my go to place in the gorge for breakfast. No hipsters here, just down home locals looking for a great breakfast at a reasonable price. A true oasis away from the hype across the river. I am a sucker for a chicken fried steak and this place makes a great one. Crisp even under the gravy and the eggs are always cooked as ordered. You want medium, you get medium. Easy and you get easy. It seems not worth mentioning but you’d be surprised how many places can’t even do this reliably. Biscuits are good and worth ordering but not the best ever. If you’re in the area do yourself a favor and cross over to Bingen for a great meal in a real small town diner. 5 stars all day long.

Quaint location. Friendly service. Ordered off the side order menu with no complaints from the staff. Coffee good and the best part was bottomless refills. Food was served quickly and warm. As you can see from the picture portions were adequate leaning toward skimpy. I requested dry toast with butter on the side and over medium eggs and received exactly that. I was looking for. A local mom and pop small traditional breakfast eatery and I would say they met all of my requests. I would definitely recommend them with the caveat that if you’re looking for something big city fancy and upscale This is not your place. However, if you’re looking for good value, good food, good service, good location this place hits the mark. I’m hesitant to give this place five stars because I don’t feel there are many places that deserve all five. However, I couldn’t find anything wrong with this place and can’t justify giving them anything less.

I ordered take out to eat at work. I’ve liked this place in the past but today makes me sure I won’t go back. I did a phone order for a veggie omelet- no cheese. I said in the phone order 2 times “no cheese”. You guessed it: it has cheese. So I settled in to eat my hash browns and toast. My hash browns smell and taste like ? They’ve expired ? Or something ? I don’t know what is wrong with them. So far the toast is fine. So I paid $16 for 2 pieces of toast.
