Very friendly, welcoming service with a great atmosphere! Dancing on Fridays (check the website). The food is good. A great selection of authentic Cuban cuisine. They didn’t have traditional Cuban bread which was a bit disappointing, but the alternative was great. The flan was stellar – highly recommend. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Raleigh.

Carmen’s Cuban Cafe & Lounge – Morrisville, NC

We were just passing through North Carolina and happened to find this place, and what a great find it was. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with big smiles and welcoming service.

The food was outstanding. We ordered the chicken empanadas, Sopa de Pollo, and Bistec de Pollo—everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. And the bread… absolutely fantastic.

A solid 10 out of 10. We highly recommend stopping here if you’re in the area.

Found it on Google and nearby hotel, so decided to give it a try. It was excellent!! Had the Vaca Frita with Moros and Plantanos Maduros as recommended by the bartender for my first time trying their venue. Delicious!!

Comfortable venue with plenty of space. Casual or nicely dressed would be appropriate. Polite and fast service. Music nice and volume was just right. Good for kids too.

**Outstanding Cuban cuisine!**

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

My wife and I had an excellent dinner at Carmen’s Cuban! Her vaca frita was perfectly crispy yet tender, and my ropa vieja featured incredibly flavorful shredded beef with amazing spices. Both dishes were generous portions at great prices. If you’re looking for authentic Cuban food that won’t break the bank, Carmen’s is the place!

Everything was top tier! We were staying nearby and decided to stop in before a flight tomorrow, and I’m so glad we did. The owner was incredibly kind and made us feel like family. The food was amazing—we kept ordering more because it was that good!! He even brought out a complimentary dessert for us to try, and it was the best flan I’ve ever had. We left full, happy, and already planning to come back! ✨

The service was lacking but the food was super amazing! From the looks of it, it was confusing to know whether it’s a casual or fine dine. No need to dress up; casual wear is acceptable. We definitely recommend to try the food at this place. You won’t be disappointed!

This restaurant is a hidden gem conveniently located near RDU Airport, major hotels, and the highway—perfect for travelers or locals looking for an authentic Caribbean dining experience.

The service is top-notch, with attentive servers eager to answer any questions. Even the manager took the time to check on us at the table, ensuring we were satisfied with our meal and overall experience.

**Highly recommended dishes:**
1. **Pollo a la Milanesa** – Crispy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection.
2. **Masitas de Puerco with Congrí (Moro) and sweet plantains** – A classic Cuban dish that’s rich in flavor.
3. **Churrasco** – Grilled to perfection and absolutely delicious.
4. **Café Cortadito** – Ideal for those who appreciate a strong, authentic coffee after a satisfying meal.

If you’re flying out of or returning to RDU and craving delicious Caribbean food, this is *the* spot to visit. Expect great hospitality, flavorful dishes, and an overall excellent dining experience!

I am in town for work and wanted to try something new. I had never tried Cuban food. The service was incredible. Gave me some recommendations and they did not disappoint. Got the Lechon Asado. Was incredible. Tried the Havana sampler and everything tasted fantastic. Also if you like mojitos you need to try it. I HIGHLY recommend this place

Stopped in on a Friday for an early dinner (4:45) with my mom. We were greeted and seated immediately and all the staff we encountered were pleasant. The restaurant wasn’t packed at the time and there are tables instead of booths and bar seating.

I ordered the empanadas as an appetizer (one beef and one chicken) and they were delicious. I do wish they came with some kind of sauce but I’m glad they had plenty of meat inside them. This place is a great value as the entrees were plentiful. I had the lechón asado w/yellow rice, black beans, and sweet plantains. The plantains were cooked perfectly and tasted well but I wish the pork, rice, and beans had more flavor. My mom thought her rice was a bit dry. Once I added hot sauce to the pork and salt & pepper to the sides I was good to go and the leftovers reheated well.
