As someone coming from California, if you’re looking for the best tacos in Seattle, look no further than Carmelo’s. The meat is incredibly tender and flavorful — every bite practically melts in your mouth. It’s clear they take real care in how they prepare it.

The guacamole and salsa verde are absolute standouts. The guac is rich and perfectly seasoned, and the salsa verde has just the right kick to complement everything on the plate. The pineapple is the cherry on top.

I’ve tried a fair number of taco spots around Seattle, and Carmelo’s has topped them all. Highly recommend if you haven’t been yet — you won’t regret it!

Food tastes like it was made by angels. I will be coming back. Food was fresh and flavorful, chipotle has nothing on Carmelo’s. I also appreciated that extra beans and rice were not an extra charge when I ordered online. Staff is polite and made it a nice experience.

The food was lovely, I got myself some crispy shrimp tacos and my partner got quesabirrias. The taste of them both was lovely, the sauces were really flavorful (a little too heavy on the salsa blanca), spicy in the best way and the meats were cooked to perfection. Limited space can make finding a spot tough but we got one without waiting too long. Highly recommended, will be back.

This Carmelo’s location was a tad slow for our in house order and had limited seating. The food however was the same Carmelo’s taste and quality which was great to see – for sure a fan of their queso.

I love that there is now another Carmelo’s Tacos. This one is closer to where I call home. I love their taco’s, tho they have added to their menu selection since my brother has introduced me to Carmelo’s. This place is always packed, so be prepared to wait. Their taco’s are the best in Seattle. I really love their fermented veggies. They are made fresh. I always order their Carne Asada taco’s with all the fixings with a Mexican Coke.

Really good stuff. Got the tacos of course, few different flavors, all of them great. What really did it for me were the homemade tortillas, they were amazinggg I could totally taste the freshness and authenticity of them. Horchata was also great. Yeah everything was good, def a top spot for tacos.

Got the crispy bacon burrito and it was delicious! Really hit the spot for my breakfast burrito craving. Generous portion and fair price – $11 before tax

Stopped here for a quick bite to eat while exploring Capital Hill and I was impressed! I got a chicken taco and it cost me right around $4. It was phenomenal, and cheap, which is hard to find around Seattle. Service took awhile since it was busy, but that just means it’s good.

Love this new location and the ability to eat inside. The meats are very tasty but not outstanding in flavor or tenderness (the suadero is really good), and the tortillas and salsas are fantastic. For a quick bite, Carmelo’s is my favorite in the Broadway Cap Hill area.

I’d say you won’t find much better than this when it comes to decent Mexican food in Seattle. It’s not amazing, but it’s solid and hits the spot when craving some tacos.

The tortillas are delicious and the flavor is good. Like it better than Tacos Chukis. Horchata is great, but pricey at $5. The agua de Jamaica is too sweet but can water it down. Still need to try the burrito though.

Service is friendly and fairly prompt. Atmosphere is normal. Small place.
