It was our first time at Carmelita’s, my daughter and I enjoy Mexican so we wanted to try it out. The service and atmosphere was good our server was very nice and attentive. We ordered the nacho sampler which was a special we enjoyed that it was good however our entrees unfortunately fell flat. My daughter ordered two tacos she said it was cold and very bland, I ordered the Azteca which I was very excited about because our server said it was her fave and I love enchiladas I order them at almost every Mexican restaurant I go to. Unfortunately I was very disappointed it was very bland no salt no flavor and watery. I couldn’t have cocktails this time around because I’m pregnant so I would give Carmelita’s another chance just to try their drinks and appetizers other than that the entrees sadly weren’t great.

Nacho flight and tacos on sale when we went. I am a big nachos person so I was really excited to do this. All of them were great and it was a nice way to try a little of everything.

horrible food! I asked for birrias the dried meat was tasteless and super small… for an appetizer I asked for melted cheese and it was more garlic and yogurt nowhere was the cheese I do not recommend the place it is not authentic Mexican food

Ordered food to go, pic included of the Brooks Favorite enchilada meal. Very good food and the staff was super friendly! Real authentic food like theirs is hard to come by. Highly recommend going here

Great location but the food was not up to par with what I was expecting. My husband said his beef for his meat choice was also gray looking. The dishes were presentable but there was no flavor . Lets me just begin by saying the chips and salsa is not complimentary and it tasted burnt. I think the tomatillos were a little overcooked.

My first time and quite honestly most likely my last. My family of 4 took over an hour and a half to get our meal. The staff seemed new and not sure of the role they were in. No one gave us menus or silverware for over 10 minutes of just sitting down. There special ..’steak tacos’ were good but more like a French dip on a tortilla vs. A Taco. Authentic??…I’d say no way compared to others I’ve been to.

The food here was yummy and gluten free. I thought there would be more dishes with rice and options but that’s my liking. My tostadas were good, needed seasoning, but I thought a little expensive for just two of them. I guess I’ve had similar experiences elsewhere and it was a little less expensive. I would still go, but maybe at a less busy time and try something else.

I’m so glad we finally made it to Carmelita’s! The food is fresh, the staff is incredibly kind and friendly, and the Skinny Margarita was light and clean but still had a nice kick! They offer extensive Gluten Free options, which is such a blessing. The vegetarian options are limited but very delicious! Plus, since everything is freshly made, they are happy to alter any menu items for you. Highly recommend!!

Celebrated daughter’s birthday here with family and had delicious dinner. She chose restaurant from list of places she wanted to try and all were pleased with selection. Tried nacho flight and several got special of birria tacos in which meat is marinated 2 days. Melt in your mouth beef was just like pot roast with delicious sauce. Will return.
