We just had an amazing dining experience at Carmelita’s! Everything on the menu tastes amazing! You can taste the freshness. From the entrees to the desserts, everything is packed with flavor, and all for a reasonable price. The portion sizes were so generous we were all stuffed and had to bring home left overs. We will definitely be coming back!

Newer taco spot in Clearfield. It was okay. I had the carne asada and Al pastor tacos. Kinda bummed I didn’t notice the lengua tacos were a special until after I sat down to eat.
The carne asada was just okay. Honestly lacking a lot of flavor and the salsa was having to do a lot of work flavor-wise.
The Al Pastor was also just okay. The flavor of the meat was fine, but the texture seemed off. Don’t know how else to describe it but the meat was very soft.
The salsas were also just okay. The red had very little heat/flavor and I had to put a ton of it on my taco to taste it. Same goes for the green.
I’ll probably give it one more shot in a few months but there are a lot of better spots in the area.

Went in with my kids. I had tacos de lengua and my son did as well. He was pleasantly surprised when he bit into his tortilla. He was not expecting authentic tortillas since other places do not have these. He is two years old but very vocal about what he doesn’t like. He ate his entire taco. These tacos are definitely bigger (about double the size) than the street tacos we usually have so it’s no wonder we only got one tortilla per taco. I’m sure I could have asked for extra tortillas for an extra cost but there was no need. There was so much meat on our tacos, I was only able to eat one before I got full. My daughter had an esquite which is the street corn in a cup and she was extremely happy with the taste and portion. My other son had the tostilocos and he definitely enjoyed those. Their portion on these are also larger than most places. I will be visiting again soon.

I had their carne asada, pollo, and al pastor tacos. The meats were a bit too lightly flavored for my taste but they were still good. The tortillas we’re pretty good but they gave you one for taco and I’m usually used to two per taco. Not a huge deal.
Their Salsas were pretty good but also a little bit light in flavor and not very spicy to my standards but others may like them.
For some this would be a really good place but for me not the best but it can always improve which is why I’ll give it five stars for now and check it out again later. Prices were pretty good and the employees were super nice.

So good! We were craving tamales which can be hard to find around here, tried Carmelita’s and they were so good! Perfect filling ratio, the masa was moist! We got the chicken, pork and cheese tamales, all good but the pork was definitely my favorite! The filling had amazing flavor! We got esquites that were on point! The hot sauces were really good with great flavor! They were so nice they were even offering to help me carry my bags of food to my car! Will for sure be back!

The food was not bad. My burrito was laking protein. The 16 year old kid taking my order had no personality. When he asked if I wanted any salsa I said lots of hot please. He gave me 2 little cups. When I got home I realized he gave me hot chili oil. Not salsa! He could have gave me options and communicated like a human! The service in this area of utah is horrible! People around here don’t know how to communicate. This place could be great! I hope the service gets better! And they learn how to communicate and ask questions so there customer’s get what they want.

A nice little taco restaurant that was a delicious surprise. I went in to try their birria tacos, but they had another dish as their special that day… so good! Unfortunately, I don’t remember what I gmhad, but ill definitely consider anything they have on special. The corn tortillas are made on site, and they are great! My wife ordered a smoked and since they weren’t busy, they made them right then! (But normally pick up next day)

For our first trip to Carmelita’s, we tried the soft tacos, rice and beans and carne asada fries…the tacos came crammed with meat and toppings, the fries were crispy and again crammed with toppings and the rice was fluffy and seasoned great. We will be back to try the tamales and chile rellenos

Don’t go to this place if you want good tacos. They don’t double up their tortillas. The wife ordered a pollo taco, picked it up and the chicken fell through the taco on to the plate. Very little seasoning on their meats.
