my family’s first time going there, staff was very very nice. good sized portions of food, got the angel hair with smoked salmon and it was kinda oily but still really good. one of us got the steak in well done and it was great and so soft. the crème brûlée cheesecake was so bomb, i don’t normally like cheesecake, but that one hit different. the ambience was amazing, there was great music; they also do live music on fri and sat 6-9 the hostess(?) said. they said they are available to do party groups like 50 ppl so that’s very nice. would go again. crispy calamari was really really good too btw

Great Italian food. Friendly staff. Good pasta and risotto was fairly good. They have quite a few seafood protein options, so if you enjoy seafood dishes, you’ll enjoy this spot. Dessert was not as strong as their apps or entrees. The “colossal” carrot cake was a bit of a misnomer. But overall, this was a lovely spot for a nice dinner.

Lovely Italian restaurant that offers a cozy atmosphere and a solid selection of traditional dishes. The pasta was clearly made fresh—tender with just the right bite—and the house-made sauce had a rich, authentic flavor.

Service was friendly and attentive, though the food took a bit longer than expected to arrive. Prices were reasonable for the quality, making it a good option for both casual dinners and special occasions.

Overall, a charming spot for anyone craving comforting, well-prepared Italian cuisine.

PART 2: ‘ Year of the Horse ‘ first re-visits!

Returning to our favorite uptown Italian restaurant for a casual family dinner with the kids. As in the past, the delectable food was lovingly prepared and well executed.

This time, for starters, we had one of the best Garlic bread bruschetta ever encountered. The bottom layer of the piping hot, Italian bread was grilled to super crispy/crunchy perfection, the soft and spongy top main body of the bread, generously covered with vivid tasting garlic butter. So addictive!

The ‘ ex-Pastis ‘ like char-grilled Calamari dressed with diced tomatoes, anchovies, olives and capers appetizer was as smokey and exotic tasting as before.

The generous mussels, finished off with a well balanced and delicate lemon cream sauce was spectacular tasting. The resulting umami loaded savory broth, perfect for more bread to dip into. The mains had not arrived and we were nearly full!

Our must-order, smokey, well charred and perfectly cooked, medium rare, tender rack of lamb was accompanied this time with an astonishingly tasty, slightly sweet, complex red wine reduction sauce. Again, more bread was needed to mop up every drop of this taste wonder.

The ultra tender Veal Scallopini, with slightly tangy and salty Pizzaiola sauce, was as authentic and tasty as the version I first had in London’s Soho Italian town years ago! Thanks for the memory!

Lastly, the well-timed ‘ al dante ‘ Fettucini with Blue crab was delicious, enjoyable and ‘ different ‘.

Of course we have to finish off our meal with a home-made Tiramisu … .the lady finger soaked with liquor!

Our professional and attentive servers were as friendly and helpful as usual.

Overall, another delightful and near faultless meal in the bag! A Nice ‘ non-Chinese ‘ culinary start to the ‘Year of the Horse’!

The Musician was WAY too loud… we had to yell to speak at the table. The music was not relaxing in anyway, it was nicest when he wasn’t playing!! Our waiter was great at first then he just DISAPPEARED! after waiting about 30 minutes for him to show up again, we asked the busboy who said “he left”… ok then… we haven’t even finished our night, dessert hadn’t been ordered after our dinner seemed very rushed. 1 glass of wine was $25.00 for 9oz! I can buy my favorite 1L of wine for $20.00! The crab cakes tasted more like tuna cakes, the risotto looked like soup. The carrot cake was disgusting and the whipped cream looked like a blob of melted snow, the snake skin tablecloths are gross and they had the nerve to charge us a 20% gratuity ON TOP OF our Wine and beverages. Horrible place – will NEVER go back as long as they have the live musician blaring during our meal and force outrageous gratuities on mediocre food and overpriced wine!!

Food was delicious . The bread ..sooo fresh, soo soft yet got the right crunch. I would go back to Carmelina just for a small nibble of it. Yes!! its THAT GOOD! Even the filtered water is good!!
The decor was beautifully designed making you feel you are in Italy while dinning there. Patio sets a romantic ambience surrounded by greenery and statues. Plenty of seating areas. Price on the lunch was reasonable and the portion was a fair serving size. You are guaranteed to leave the restaurant with a stuffed stomach from the entree alone. Service was out of this world! Thank you kindly for all that you guys do. The staff were so pleasant and very accommodating. My experience was very enjoyable because the staff made it happened.

This is a great date-night place. It’s got a classic vibe to it, and on weekends they have live piano. The food is always delicious. My favorite starter is crab cakes – it’s probably the best crab cakes I’ve had. Their risottos and pastas are all delicious and my favorite is the short rib risotto – it’s so rich and flavorful.
Their pizzas are also excellent and the in-house tiramisu is perfect.
This is definitely an easy recommendation.

Amazing service, thanks to Luigi. We went for a group dinner to celebrate a birthday. We had made a reservation prior and it was a group of 6 of us. Our drinks, apps and food were prepared and given to us quickly. Most of us had the Chicken Carmelina. Would definitely recommend and go back again to try something else. Live piano player and singing was a plus!
