Touring St Stephens all the way from Regina Saskatchewan and found this little Gem. Brandon was a total Gem of a server. Thank you for the laughs, and hand written receipts for our memory book. Great food and would highly recommend you try. Burgers were spectacular. Also very accommodating in suggesting a booth with a plug in so we could document more memories along the way.

Amazing 1950s diner. Food is home made and excellent. Staff are the friendliest people I have met. And where else can you play a jukebox at your table. Thanks for a great meal.

Great home cooking in a 50s Diner with tabletop jukebox “wallbox.” Large portions, friendly staff and ia obviously very connecred to the community. Plenty of parking and recommendwd by our motel. We eecommend it now, too.

From burgers to hot sandwiches to salads and three meals a day. Desserts looked delicious, we were just too full to try.

Stopped to have brunch on way to Calais. Good food & very reasonably priced. Enjoyed it so much we stopped again for supper on our way back home! (October 6/25). Very nice community-oriented place with a great Seniors menu.

This diner was a nice and friendly place to enjoy lunch after crossing the border. We ordered a cheeseburger with fries (+ gravy) and a hamburger which were actually made there on-site and reasonably priced. The burgers were fresh and they gave us a TON of gravy fries! We’d go back if ever in the area again.

I had the pleasure of arriving at the establishment just moments before closing time, and to my delight, I was greeted by a team of friendly and welcoming staff. Their warm and inviting service made me feel truly appreciated, despite my late arrival.

As I sat down to enjoy my meal, I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional quality of the food. Each dish was prepared with utmost care and attention to detail, resulting in a culinary experience that exceeded my expectations. The flavors were rich, the ingredients were fresh, and every bite was a testament to the chef’s culinary expertise.

What made the experience even better was the reasonable price at which this memorable dining experience came. I found the cost to be fair and reasonable, especially considering the high-quality food and the overall enjoyable atmosphere.

In summary, my visit was a wonderful experience, from the friendly service I received upon arrival to the delectable food that satisfied my taste buds, all at a price that left me feeling content. I will definitely cherish the memories created during this visit and eagerly look forward to returning in the future.

We ordered three food items and two drinks. While the drinks were good, the food didn’t really feel worth the price. What disappointed us more was the overall experience — the server seemed unwelcoming and rushed the whole process.
We were there for only about 20–25 minutes. The service was quick, but it didn’t feel friendly. We even received our bill before finishing our meal and were asked to pay at the counter. We were planning to order dessert but after that experience, we decided it was better to leave. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the kind of experience that would make us want to return.

Oh boy! I couldn’t wait to get home and write a review about this diner.

We were visiting from out of town, and we asked someone locally the best place to eat in town, and without hesitation, they said, “Go to Carman’s Diner.”

This diner has been in business for over 60 years and is still owned by the same family. The atmosphere and architecural style hakens back to the 60s to a place where everyone knows your name, and you would spot warm smiles everywhere. There was even a juke box on each table if you wanted to hear some good old classics. I was already in love with this place before we even got our menus.

The food was excellent, and our order was perfect.

In short, this was a perfect outing for us. We highly recommend this place.

Friendliness of staff and my coconut shrimp appetizers were wonderful. My husband wasn’t quite as thrilled with half of his hot meat sandwich plate. The sandwich itself was good, but the stuffing had too much sage in it, the mashed potatoes could have been more mashed, and the corn tasted stale. Lots of other menu options are available though, and the place is clean and has lots of history.

Great little dinner, friendly and knowledgeable staff. We had the seafood chowder and it was absolutely delicious, not to mention having more lobster, haddock, crab and clams in it than our last three seafood meals combined! We had a 2-piece haddock entree which was fried in a batter rather than breaded, not greasy at all, scrumptious in fact. Nice variety of soups, sandwiches and entrees and very reasonably priced.
