The unlimited side choice of hush puppies, and white beans, and coleslaw (vinegar based) all 3 were delicious. We ordered the popcorn shrimp and got fries as the choice of side with it. All was phenominal. Shrimp was perfectly cooked and some of the best flavor ive ever had.
They also have a little feed station so you can feed the animals outside. Didnt see what was there as we arrived later in the day and it was already dark outside.
Will be back for sure to try other items, and i cant wait.

Got all you can eat steaks. Small thin pieces had no taste. Fried what looks like flour not cornmeal coating We had filets last time they were thin . Other than fish . Service was excellent. Slaw and beans same.

My birthday dinner. Tried a different place.The slaw beans an hushpuppies were high on my expectations..I was looking forward to the fish. Sadly I was disappointed. So I ordered a piece of fried fish to be fair. Sorry to say it did not come up to par. The chocolate pie was good.

This was our first time eating at Carmack’s Fish Barn and it was really a great experience! The food was great, loved the white beans and hush puppies. We had clam strips and they were really good The best part was the casual atmosphere and a really sweet waitress named Raelynn (probably spelled that wrong) she was very attentive and has the sweetest smile We’ll be back!

12.28.2024, 5:30pm: Our family was out and about spending time in Paris, TN and I looked up restaurants near us, and Carmack’s Fish Barn was approximately a 20min drive from our location, the reviews were pretty impressive and so was the menu! Although the most important point of this review is about the restaurant’s staff and atmospheric fellowship and of course the quality and taste of the food! Kim was our waitress, she stayed on top of checking on us, our drink refills and ensuring we had enough to eat and were okay throughout our meal time. We will return! The catfish fillets were LARGE and THICK, the breading was perfectly thin so the meat was not overshadowed by the fried outer layer, the fixings were delicious. Special shout out to the owner’s daughter for creating the tasty slaw, it was something we’ve never had before, but would enjoy again! The establishment’s restrooms were clean, tidy, and decorated, providing a comfortable setting. They provided booth or a table seating. Our party was full from our entrées; however, Kim, our waitress, raved about the banana pudding and let me tell you, it was the best banana pudding I have ever had in my life! That banana pudding had a certain flair of creamy goodness and it was not overly sweet! We purchased one and had four spoons delivered so that each of us could have a taste of it, since it was recommended. Carmax fish barn is certainly a restaurant that we would recommend, we would highly recommend, and we will be back to visit when we are in town! Kim and the owner added to our experience and we are forever grateful to have had an opportunity to eat and fellowship on this evening.
