Awesome people, very polite and respectful. I ordered food to go, the duck wasn’t cooked. However I brought the issue to the staff and they fixed it with chicken strips. They are very helpful and respectful. 1 mistake but the follow up was awesome! These people are awesome! I’ll definitely remember this place and its worth visiting!

I want to start off saying I don’t usually leave bad reviews for local places but this was really disappointing especially on Valentine’s Day for my husband and I. We had a reservation and we seated right away, our server didn’t let us know until we were ready to order they were out of certain things. Then waited at least 10 minutes before checking on us again to actually make an order. Once we got our food the steak was very cooked, we ordered medium rare and I’ll attach pictures it was over medium and very tough. The lobster was absurdly over cooked. The server was nice but not attentive and seemed to be more worried about cleaning than taking care of customers.

This is a nice little spot in Laurel really good and unique food. I’ve never been disappointed with the dish that I’ve ordered their they have a really good selection of beers on tap. It’s a very casual dining environment, high chairs available locally owned highly recommend!

Amazing! Two of us had the Baseball Sirloin. Both were delicious and cooked to perfection. Fingerling potatoes and snap peas were the perfect accomplishment. My partner had the Mucker & Fries, also delicious. Can’t wait to come back and try otherenu options. Kari provided excellent customer service. Thank you.

Fun, local spot in small town Montana.
Tastefully decorated brewery .. very clean.
Friendly employees.
We were seated immediately and brought drinks fairly quickly.
Cafe/diner type menu with several trendy options.
Food was made fresh and served hot.
Definitely try the Cheese Cubes with Apple Butter. Interesting combination that works well.
Hamburger is made with fresh ground beef .. rich, flavorful and juicy. Tastes like you would expect and hamburger to taste in Montana. Fried are old fashioned, well seasoned and cooked to perfection.
For sure a new favorite.

Went for Valentine’s Day dinner with my family. At first I was nervous taking my 3 kids but others came with kids too. They had a valentines menu as well. Ordered the Korean steak and noodles and it was delicious, good portion. My husband had a burger and fries. Said he was very impressed and they cooked his burger perfectly. Clean atmosphere and clean bathrooms. I loved that the sinks are outside of the bathroom. My kids cleaned their plates too. We will be coming back

Great little spot. Usually grab a bite here while visiting for work and staying nearby. Burger was especially delicious. Juicy perfectly cooked hand made 1/2lb patties with a toasted bun. Side salad was good but nothing special. Wish they had regular coleslaw, but solid food and great menu of options. Service has always been great as well!

I was genuinely surprised at how good our meal was. This place is rather unassuming, both inside and out, but the menu looked appealing, so we made a special trip. We were not disappointed.
Good salads are hard to come by in this area, and the 1909 was quite good. Also had the “crunchwrap” burger, and my suggestion would just be to brown the outer tortilla. It was a bit soft and started to soak and come apart as we ate. I will say – as a ‘beef state’, few places in Billings seem to do a burger justice, but Carlton nailed it.
Otherwise, I would just suggest they work on more of an identity in the interior. It feels a bit cold and sterile, but by no means inhospitable. Their menu gives a warm “comfort food” vibe that I feel the ambiance could emulate.

Eh. Cheese appetizer was good, fried pickles pretty good. Pork medallions were so dry, even with BBQ sauce. Steak was cooked nicely, but needed seasoning. The Korean noodles and burger were good . The mud pie was tasty, but literally couldn’t eat it it was frozen. Overall it was good, but not worth the drive from billings heights.
*we were followed out of the restaurant by a gentleman that was questioning our review and upset we didn’t tell him about the pork, but we did. It was a very odd interaction, but did not change my review*

We had a family event at the Carlton Depot. Shawna and her staff were helpful and friendly! The food was great and the space was wonderful. Shawna was communicative and very helpful when it came to scheduling and setting the menu. Many places in the area (mostly in Billings) were not helpful and wouldn’t even get back to us with it being the busy holiday season. Thanks again Shawna!
