Recently enjoyed a great lunch at Carlson landing. The staff was very polite and accommodating. Sat outside and enjoyed some great views. The food was good! The salmon was hands down the star of the night. Super fresh and flavorful. I was a little disappointed with my lobster roll though. The bread was good but the roll was a little on the dry side. Definitely could’ve used more butter. But overall, everything was a great experience.

We came on a day where they had no lobsters or clams and desserts was stale. Our food had no flavors. We had fish and chips. Fish was bland. Tartar sauce was terrible. Drinks and appetizers was good. Service was excellent. We had 3 entrees and all three were bland.

Fantastic ambience. Very friendly bartenders and greeter. Lunch on Thursday was perfect. Delicious oysters on half shell and grilled octopus. Octopus a little tough but good. The restaurant is stunning and the view of ct river is wonderful. Definitely pricey but a great experience

Stopped in after a recommendation from our friends at Atlas in Saybrook. Did not disappoint. Alycia, our server at the bar was the best. I had the Pork Belly dinner and it was superb with the brown rice. The way this chef cooks is outstanding. Hubby had the fettuccine with shrimp. The sauce was out of this world. We missed the flight of the bald eagles that had just passed over before we arrived. The view is 5 star and so is the food. Sunday Brunch is packed and I can see why. We will be back many times for sure.

The view is beautiful, but clearly the b team was on at lunch. It took 20 minutes get a salad that was not as I ordered. It took an additional 20 to correct the order. I had to ask for silverware. The greens were bitter along with the grapefruit and dressing.

Good, strong drinks, but the food was a little disappointing for the price and other reviews. Had raw oysters and claims, those where fantastic! Very fresh! Ordered fish and chips, and the burger. Burger tiny compared to bun, fish was moist but coating was flavorless. Had the deviled eggs as well which where tasty but only get 2 eggs for 8 bucks. Surroundings are nice, atmosphere and outside very nice. Does have a kids menu but not really kid friendly.

I have been hearing so much about this restaurant and was so excited to try it! Maybe it was just an off day, but I was not a fan. The setting and restaurant were lovely, and the staff was super friendly, but the food, especially for the price point, was not great. The potatoes in the clam chowder were extremely hard, basically not cooked. My husband and I shared it and didn’t even eat half. The burger was just okay, and the bun was very dry. The grain bowls did not have any dressing on them whatsoever- so bland. There actually was not an item of food that we enjoyed. Bummer!

It’s a neat place but they have limited selections in the menu. The online menu and the real menu are not the same. First we ordered clam chowder which was watery, the best part was the oyster crackers in it. I did enjoy my halibut meal though which I would say 5/5. They don’t have side dishes on the menu. Desert wasn’t great either, maybe 2/5.
