Nice little old diner. I’ve been wanting to try this place every time I stop in Chillicothe. I was very pleased with the meal and the service. The biscuits were soft and the sausage gravy was packaged which kind of sucks. I can open up a can of Libby’s sausage gravy at the house I want a little bit more home cooking but other than that the rest of the meal was good. The
Sausage Patty was very good not the rubbery type. Home fries or sliced so thin like potato chips. I prefer thicker slices but they were still pretty good. Two out of three eggs were over easy. Don’t know how that happens but they were good. Waitress was outstanding. I was hesitant to try this after a local told me they went downhill in the last year. Well what I experienced very good. Decor needs updated but other than that it’s a great place

This is your authentic diner experience. We came for an early dinner on a Friday night. This place looks like it was stuck in time and what you imagine when you think of a classic diner. No wait, we were seated immediately. They have a daily specials, and Friday is fish night. You can get perch or cod. My wife and I opted for the perch. The meal comes with your choice of bread, potato salad, and baked beans. The serving size was good. My perch was a little overcooked but still good. I thought the potato salad was tasty but the beans a bit bland. All in all, a good, filling meal for the price. Our server was great, attentive, and friendly. We stop here everytime we are in Chillicothe.

I will be as honest as I can for the purposes of helping the people running it see the things I noticed as a first time customer.
The building is really cool. It had a really interesting history behind it. That was really neat to learn about. The server guy did offer up alot of info on the subject.
The environment was a bit beat up. Our seat was duck taped together. Not great for a first impression. Table had food stuck to it and felt kinda greasy. Also a put off.
It did take a long time to get drink orders and for them to come to the table. The server was EXTREMELY friendly though, so we did not complain.
Server did leave to get things and would not come back for a fairly long time. Idk what that was about.
I ordered fried mushrooms. I got 6. Just 6. Some were TINY.
That was supposed to share between 3 adults and 2 kids. I was only able to eat 1. Portions were SMALL. That was a huge letdown.
My burger was good. Not breaking any records. Not bad. Not great. But good.
My wife enjoyed her food. She got the beans and cornbread. It was good she said.
My kids loved their food! No complaints at all there.

Our daughter’s basketball team went after a tournament game. All the employees were so nice. The owner came out to talk with us! The food was great and came out fast!!

Really wish I could remember our waitresses name because she was simply amazing. Very polite and fun to chat with. We weren’t from there so we some questions and she answered them as best she could. My wife’s order came out wrong and she just kept apologizing for the mix up when it wasn’t here fault at all. Food was good, minus the pepper problem. Very cool joint a little further down the street from the main area but worth it. Got pretty busy after we got there so the locals obviously like it too.

Best place I’ve been to in a while. Truly a hidden gem. Had 1/2 lb cheeseburger. Added no condiments because we didn’t need to. Grilled cheese with fried bologna, fried mushrooms, Carl’s chips with chili and cheese, and coleslaw. Everything was delicous. Service was excellent. Staff and other customers treated us as if we were regulars. If I had one complaint it would be the cabbage in the coleslaw was cut almost to a mince. I just prefer stringer pieces.

Very tight parking lot. However there is street parking.
We walked in, there was no signage to tell us to seat ourselves (guess everyone knows that rule). However there was a waitress right there who would tell us to sit anywhere. Problem with that was that we had to wait for tables to be cleaned up. We eventually sit in the booth. The waitress takes our food and drink orders and brings the drinks back. We don’t get silverware for a while so nothing to stir up the coffee with. Waitress takes a while to come back. We tried to get anybody’s attention to no avail. 乁( •_• )ㄏ Food comes. The double cheeseburger is kind of a disappointment as it is more of a White Castle. For about $7 that is just a little bit much. My daughter didn’t like the waffle either, said that it was doughy. Now for the service, she never came back to our table until we were done with the meals. We had to go up to the front and find her to get the check.
So: with all of that we probably won’t be back.

Ordered through doordash and didn’t realize the restaurant only had beef and noodles on Thursdays. They did not notify my dasher and did not offer a replacement. When I called the restaurant to see why only part of my order was delivered, the lady on the phone was extremely rude and said that it wasn’t her job to call customers and let them know. She also very rudely stated that beef and noodles was only on Thursdays and it was very clearly stated on the menu. I will never order from this restaurant again.
