Top 5 best wings I’ve ever eaten in my life! Love this place! Biggest hidden gem in New Haven ever! Nettie has always been kind, nice, helpful, and an awesome lady in general. The wings are hot, fresh & crispy with many different delicious sauces. The fries and other menu items are delicious. Alcohol prices are also great. This place is so brave for offering the Tuesday wing special, and I know hundreds of people who are grateful for that! Great place with great conversations! Thank you Carl’s for the amazing memories!

The eclectiveness of Carls is so crazy and fun. They have karaoke on Tuesdays and Thursdays, if you’re into that. On the weekends sometimes they have “shows” that range from a variety of music. If you go for food, get the wings!!!! Hands down. Multiple different flavors to choose from and they’re all amazing. All of the evening bartenders are super awesome.

Mason the bartender was exceptional in customer service, Polite, gave us feedback on what kind of things to do in town.And he made the best wings I have had in a long time.
The place itself threw a hell of a show as well!!!
I will definitely be returning here when I come to visit Indiana again.
The bar and restrooms were very clean, and the atmosphere was absolutely awesome.
10/10 Please try their wings!!!

Ignore the one star review left recently by someone else. ON A REAL NOTE, carls tavern is one of the best places I’ve ever been. The food is actually decently priced, considering it’s a BAR, I’ve spent more money on food with less quality in other bars. Carls is legit, that go-to place. Not one time has their staff been disrespectful either, unless you disrespected them first, which honestly that is your own wrong doing because they’re lovely people. The atmosphere is amazing every time we go to carls and Netty and David are honestly the most amazing bar owners I’ve ever come to know. Side note, their wings are on point, but you should definitely try them BLT fries .

Seriously some of the best bar food I’ve ever had. Their wings are nice and crispy with the right amount of sauce. It’s a great place for underground music for metal heads too.
My only gripe is the lack of AC, gets quite exhausting sitting in there with that heat, however, I’m quite impressed with the filtration since you can smoke inside.
