Today we went to pick up two shakes, a chocolate and an Oreo one. I know and have been knowing for years that Carl’s Jr would hand scoop ice cream into a blender and make the shake for you. I went in today and when I received the shakes, they were both half way filled and even with the whip cream were not completely topped off. Knowing this, I confronted the cashier and said I would like it remade. She then showed me that the ice cream was inside of a cup already served, and frozen halfway filled, and that they are not hand scooped. I don’t know if the shakes are hand scooped any more at all locations or just this one, but I have never seen a shake already pre made/pre “scooped” at a Carl’s Jr in all the time I’ve been there. Additionally it didn’t look like ice cream, but rather soft serve frozen dairy treat (not ice cream) in a cup. I don’t know if this is a case by case instance where managers are trying to save themselves more money and in turn retain some semblance of profit, but in all honesty, this is complete robbery and thievery of the customer and I am not here for it. This issue needs to be resolved, and if anything investigated. Looking at the poor ratings, I can’t judge those ratings for having witnessed the worst half assed half filled looking shake in my life. The manager, when related with this experience by the employee who handed off the order, merely shrugged it off. Please do better.

Hardly write bad reviews, this is my second. Made app purchase, going through drive thru told me they couldn’t find my order; no big deal come in to sort it out. After coming in telling them my name cashier said he found it, it’ll be right out. Fifteen minutes go by, I ask for order to be canceled since I have somewhere to go and it isn’t ready (not including initial app order time). Same cashier says he can’t cancel it since app purchase. Cool, I don’t want to start any issues I’ll be patient. Half an hour goes by and I am truly late for appointment, I explain I have to go. Cashier grabs the shift leader, I explain that I have to go it’s been forty minutes at this point. He asks my name, then grabs my order that he says has been sitting there the entire time. He even says he asked the cashier about it but cashier says I wasn’t here yet despite sitting directly in front of cashier at table.
Shift leader was only person in kitchen, working super hard l and I felt super bad for summoning him, it was my first time ever having to talk to a supervisor in my life . Finally on my way the food was understandably cold and gross, I’m sure it would’ve been fine if received timely.

Very awesome service. This location serves a lot of students in the Monterey Park community and the management staff is very helpful. They were a bit slower on my order because they had a long line of drive-through and there were a lot of Asians and construction workers off on their lunch break dining in the living room of this business. You will see a lot of ELAC Asian Engineering and Business students or nearby workers from the boba stores, panda express, or nail salon businesses who will take lunch breaks and spend their time at this location in Monterey Park to get their lunch meals or coming back from attending college events in this region of the Monterey Park community. There are a lot of Asian students as well who enroll in the ELAC coursework from high school to get ahead so there are sometimes younger people in the plaza getting some French Fries and Burgers here. Thankful for this business and I hope they keep thriving for a long time in the Monterey Park community to help serving students and others.

This review is based off of a drive thru order. Carl’s has been a favorite fast food spot of mine and this restaurant is a great example.
I just ordered their “California Classic” on a lettuce wrap, chicken nugget stars and chicken strips along with fries. The burger was delicious and has that In-N-Out taste and the fries were descent. The chicken nugget stars were underwhelming but the chicken strips were excellent. Overall it was a good lunch.
I’d definitely come back to this spot again in the future.

I walked in on a Friday afternoon and there was a drink man inside. My problem with this place was that the woman at the register did not give me my Military discount for my whole order. She only applied the discount towards1 item. I will not come back here or recommend this place. Bad service.

Filthy And Hazardous
Pest flying around, the bathroom smells like raw sewage, we couldn’t even find a clean table or chairs to sit down. While eating there was gnats attacking us. The dinning area is horrendous and smells awful like BO and Old food.

I’d stay away from this Carla jr. they advertise one price on their drive thru menu but when you go to pay for your meal, the increase it by a few dollars. Also they wouldn’t give me a receipt of what I paid for so I’d definitely go somewhere else.

This has got to be the worst Carl’s Jr. I have ever been to. There is a very long wait at the drive-thru and once you get to the speaker box, nobody greets you to let you know that they know you’re there and will get to you shortly. After waiting a good 10-12 minutes or so, the person that took my order lacked customer service skills. A dark skinned Indian man was the one that took my order and messed it up ♀️. I ordered a SPICY double western cheeseburger combo with fried zucchini and a BOTTLED WATER. When I got to the window to pay, he hands me a cup of water. I told him that I wanted a bottled water, NOT a cup of water, he then tells me that they are out of bottled water. He failed to tell me that beforehand. So I got annoyed and just got a coke, I also think that he purposely did not want to give me my receipt until I asked for it.
When I got home to check my bag and receipt, my order was wrong and the fried zucchinis tasted old and refried. My coke was really watered down. I also felt like I was up-charged too for my meal. I don’t know why the cashier says POSTMATE considering I ordered at the drive thru. I just got off a 10 hour shift. I was starving and was craving Carl’s Jr. only to be extremely disappointed and pissed. This ruined my dinner. I spent $19.55 on something I didn’t order because the order. I will contacting corporate to file a complain.
