Needed a later-evening pit stop on a long road trip. Got a geocache in the parking lot here; then went in for a bit to eat. Fish taco was inexpensive and delicious; tasted very fresh and with generous with the fish. Service couldn’t have been nicer. When the cashier realized I wanted to eat in rather than taking out, she encouraged me to pick a seat and offered to bring me water. Which she did, a large plastic cup of cold ice water with a straw, along with bottles of sauce. Place is so tiny that you have to go through their working kitchen to get to the restroom, but they were gracious about me using it.

Best Mexican food in Fox lake in a nice clean restaurant . Tacos are very good but the best thing we’ve had there is the tamales. Tamales shells are thin with a lot of beef filling, shredded beef not just hamburger. Tortilla chips are served warm and fresh with delicious sauces.

I like their food!! But two times now I ordered food to go and something was missing from my order. I ordered the Chorizo and eggs. When I got home they’re were no tortillas. The other plate was the Mexican sunshine burritos… they were excellent!!!

My kids love this place. They usually order it to go. But we needed to meet and eat inside. Walked in my son asks “do we just sit anywhere?” The man said yes but was hesitant … the girl however said yes very sarcastically and rolled her eyes and said something under her breath. I looked at my kids and said do you really want to eat here… and we all decided no due to the sarcastic response and rolling of the eyes. We would’ve spent $70 plus dollars and left you a good tip … if you don’t want people to dine in, then you shouldn’t have tables.. shame on you. I’m all about supporting small businesses, but not this one !!!

AAAA+ Best Mexican food in our area‼️Authentic 100%. I went with a friend that always raved about the food. I’m so glad we went. We had Nachos with ground beef + guacamole. Steak Enchiladas, Chicken Taco dinner chicken perfectly flavored. I brought steak fajitas to my husband. He was floored and loved all of it Thank you again. Thinking of when I will return it was soon good.
